Thanks everyone. Firstly it was great to visit Ewood finally.
First thing I'd say is that you get treated like grown adults down south compared to up here. When I went to go in and held my arms out to be searched, the steward looked at me like I had two heads haha. I explained that up here we are mostly always accustomed to a quick frisk before we enter the ground.
Then having a beer before the match aswell, another lovely perk which we cannot be trusted with up here.
Ewood looked great, was sitting in the Ronnie Clayton stand, facilities great, stadium looks great, nice and close to the pitch, really enjoyed that aspect.
As for the match, I thought Norwich were better in the first half, probably should have scored at least one of the chances Sargent missed, the free header from 3 yards out and the chance at the near post also.
The sending off was harsh in my opinion but it kinda reminded me of a few of our red cards this season under old Russell. Sargent was clever and got in front of the Rovers defender and there was contact albeit minimal. What happened to the double jeopardy rule?
Second half I thought Rovers dug in and really should have got a point out the match. The big lad at right back looked a good outlet. Tronstad (I think) looked busy in midfield. The Japanese lad up front looked lively but was devoid of service.
How the lad didn't score in the second half when he hit it from a few yards out I don't know. Cantwell was a bit sloppy on the ball at times but you could tell he was really trying to make something happen.
Sadly not a great result for Rovers but had a great time. Everyone was lovely in and around the stadium. It was nice to take in a match when you are not just constantly watching the keeper pass to the centre halves and then they play about with the ball at the back before losing it and conceding.
Oh and that reminds me, the keeper looks a player. Great save in the first half down to his right. I liked the look of him.
All the best for the rest of the season, I will be keeping an eye on your results.
