Matt Jansen was a delight to watch. He could have reached the very top and been a regular goal scorer and playmaker in the premiership. what I dent understand is what the situation is now? When he came back against portsmouth and scored he looked like he was getting his form back. When he scored against Birmingham it looked like he was getting his form back. Then he went of injured and i have heard nothing since. is he carrying another injury or is it just felt that he cant make it anymore.

I am surprised at all this critism of Neil. I would not have thought that replacing him was anywhere near one of our priorities. As lots of people have said he is part of a very stingy defense. I would have thought he was one of the first names on the team sheet- he always seems to play. Of much more concern is the left back position. Whilst both Nissa and Mateo are sound defensively - and I think Nissa looks good at centre back - we get very little from them going forward. Mateo in particular has a signature rather aimless punt as his main offensive weapon which never produces any pressure down the left side.

I didn't think that Mourinho did himself any credit last night. I thought Chelsea were absolutely delighted to get a win last night after really being pushed and he would have been a better man for acknowledging this.
