  1. yes SG, but that figure is completely meaningless.

here here! what a useless statistic.

if rovers continue with considered marketing and continue to play exciting football people will come down. many seem caught up in the romanticism of the game rather than what it actually is or can be as a spectacle. In the Souness era we were paying a lot of money for dreadful entertainment. Now we're paying a lot of money, albeit relatively less, for what can be rip roaring, thrilling entertainment.

    imo.

  2. a few things went wrong inlcuding the apparent reluctance of Jack to strengthen post-premiership, but notably Peter White reported that Ray Harford threatened to leave for a management role unless he had a crack at the managers job, this was in the LET about April 95 (from memory). I would suggest this provided the impetus for the re-structuring, and not Kenny's desire to leave a proverbial sinking ship

  3. Footballers books are simply to make money from Joe 'stupid' Public simple as that. They seek to highlight controversy cos thats the only interesting thing after the footballing exploits. All footballers inc G le Saux should let their actions on the pitch do the talking cos everything else hardly matters. He was a fine player (best full back we've had since Keith Newton) if a little stroppy and thats all there is to it. Why cut down half of Scandanavia to add unimportant irrelevancies to that basic fact?

    and there it is

  4. lol... terrible abuse? I'd imagine I would have said "yes I am gay, hahahaha" and moved on. Retrospectively I think Fowlers' taunts are pretty funny. The reason he got so much stick appears to be his inability to laugh it off. I would suggest his so-called intelligence is no more than that.

  5. having read that article me thinks he dost protest too much

good player though.. around the time he was called up he was on fire, no-one wanted to tackle him

and with regard to his departure.. I think that entire era post ray declaring he'd leave unless he got the gaffers job was all a little haywire, until I read TP's memoirs I am making no judgements.

  6. it reeks of desperation to me.. he wouldn't take £30k at liverpool because "he wasn't guaranteed a first team place" - if that's true he is utterly deluded

I'd suggest he's moving to west ham seems to be because he's made his bed and no-one else is interested.

how moving from a team in the top half of the premiership (well, fingers crossed, we will be in an hour) to a team in the bottom 3 is a "sideways move" is beyond me..

  7. 100 per carriage,

big f***ing carriage you've got there laaa

    Not really.

Apparently the capacity of a standard railway carraige is well over 100.

In fact the hold over 150 on some routes in rush hour.

But is this really a) relevant cool.gif interesting?

    no to both questions.

those pendolino carriages aren't so big

  8. Lee Richardson was a good player- classy, wrong time wrong place though

kevin davies was, similarly, in the wrong place at the wrong time, excellent attacking from deep, lost the plot under hodgson who attempted to play him as an out and out striker and allowed him to turn into a big fatty. hodgson, a great coach? never. hardly a coincidence all these worst players that keep popping up from hogdson's era.

Richard Brown? not great before dalglish, but a long way from being one of our worst players.

Andy Kennedy- now this guy was a self obsessed hairdresser in denial of his true vocation if ever i saw one. i saw him miss chances i could have put in with my nobend

Darren Collier - why he wasn't prescribed beta-blockers one will neve quite understand

Javier de Pedro? no explanation needed.

Richard Witsghe - Dutch world beater or something. this may have been before and after he was at ewood.
