  1. only 1175 sold today sad.gif

I would have thought this figure plus those who are sent their ticket automatically is about right. Bet there aren't more than 12-1500 who have two away games under their belts this season. Anyone with two stubs knows they will get a ticket so there's no big rush for them. Wednesday will be the true indicator.

How many have we been given ?

  2. Andrew Cole, our former striker, has scored 11 goals for Fulham so far this seaon.

His replacement, the multi-talented Paul Dickov, has scored 7 goals.

However, Dickov is beating Cole on yellow cards, by 9 to 6, though Cole has had one red.

    Nuff said.

Hey thats not dickovs fault.Blame our ex manager Souness. At least we will see him get sacked by one of ,in his terms not mine """" the big clubs """".

  3. i was in the chelsea end last nite (mate had free tickets) and the anti-savage sentiment was (of course) rife, and i must confess that for the most part i agreed with them. he should have been off. he did not play football, he bullied.

i know some posters admire this quality (and myself too, think keane, gerrard, viera, butt etc etc) but savage is a joker. i was dissapointed when we signed him, distraught at the price, and now ive seen him play in our shirt i have even less respect for him.

true he was a nuisance but im not sure he is good for our cause. his strike was terrific but aside from that his passing was sloppy and he argued with/b0ll0cked his own players (neill and nelson infront of the chelsea fans and more in midfield that escape me). IMO that does not encourage or inspire.

so what do we make of our new star man??

p.s. dickov's behavior towards the end was also a joke. he should have been off - hacked at terry whilst punching his ribs!! ph34r.gif

p.p.s. their chants are hilarious: celery CERLERY, if she dont come then tickle her bum with a lump of celery CELERY........ laugh.gif (sticks of celery being hurled around).

anyway, all told not a disgraceful result against 'the champions'; mokoena and MGP very promising, just wish we bought a stiker instead of "the blonde boy in the middle". laugh.gif

Mokoena promising ? what a joke. Nelson has adapting.Mokoena needs to quickly.Savage at least shows the need and determination that the coasters at our team need to start showing

  4. Never mind about our tickets, I've got a feeling that the Dingles may have trouble shifting their own tickets for this one. The only restriction they put on home ticket purchases (after their 8,500 season ticket holders got first bite of the cherry) was a stub from their West Yorkshire derby with Leeds yesterday. Given that this game in its own right should have pulled in a capacity crowd I was surprised to see that the attendance was less than 18,000. Even if everybody who satisfied the buying criterea bought a ticket for the Rovers match they would still need to shift another 3,500 on open sale. With the game being live on BBC I think they may struggle .... Anyway off to bed now with the alarm set for 5am....I'm not taking any risks for getting my ticket. wink.gif

Really? Out of interest how many capacity home crowds have Rovers had this year? Just to clarify I mean where all the home seats have been sold, not where you give 9000 to Man U etc? Not sure if you print them in your programs but I would be interested to know just how many Rovers fan turn up to home games

I would not worry to much about us selling our tickets for this one.

And on the who sold most tickets arguments, dress it how you want but we sold around 7000 last time, but I'll settle for 6000 which is still nearly twice what you sold for our place.

Now I accept you couldn't sell more than 3,800 - and you couldn;t even find that many that would travel the 10 miles, in a FREE luxury coach.

Now you can spout the general sale nonesense but I thought you had over 10000 season ticket holders? What 30% didn;t care enough to travel

and as for the ignorant banana eaters comments, just more reinforcement of the nations view of Rovers fans as bigots and racists I guess

    HAHA

  5. duffs minder, take no notice of a lot of what has been posted .

ok it`ll be passionate and very vocal but thats it (except for the usual burberry/chav types)

    Depends where you`re sat.

ok in Bob lord and jimmy mac upper (family)

Behind goals in jimmy mac lower and old longside, especially towards the away end, cant think why biggrin.gif will be pretty hostile!

By the way, when we had to come to your place last time we actually sold all our tickets didn`t have a problem sitting in the front of the lower jackwalkers stand.

  6. the way he is playing this season no wonder he was so pee'd off with being dropped for Amo last season, he's been a rock.

Its lucky Souness went when he did, losing Cole a big blow but losing Todd at the moment, not worth thinking about!

I totally agree.Souness seemed to have too many personality clashes.especially for a guy who hasnt got one lol

  7. Don't worry, you 2 tw@ts on row FF, I reported you to the senior stewards, the police, and thanks to mobile phone technology your pics are going to Ewood as well.  I hope I never see you in a Blackburn fans area again.

What do you want, a medal ???

"Excuse me mister please sit down, no, ok then i'm gonna tell the steward"

Oooooh you big fairy, let the stewards and police deal with it themselves. That's what they get paid for!

    Too right Bud

  8. I vowed last season never to attend away matches after Rovers morons spoilt my afternoon by standing up in front of me.

I decided to give it another try at Norwich - and the same thing happened again. Thank you very much you cretins.

I shall not be attending away matches again - and neither will be other members of my family until the clubs weeds out these anti-social miscreants.

    Ahhhhh .bring on the Violins

  9. I dont think that Davies was the worst player for us - we just didn't play him to his strenghts. We tried to play him as a running-at-defenders type of player, which whilst he scored a couple of goals like this at Southampton, wasn't really his game at all. At Bolton, big Sam has played him more as a target man - he is strong and can hold the ball up quite well, and this suits him down to the ground.

Maybe his best position would be in the stands after the game .......... picking the litter up.

  10. Agree with you Den. I think Stead and for that matter most of the England players looked too anxious and tried to force the play in the first half. In the second (might have been down to the goal) they looked far more relaxed and the play was smooth and about three classes above the Welsh.

Was very impressed by the centre back Davenport. Seems we can't stop producing quality central defenders in England atm.

Totally agree.Davenport was outstanding. Also Pennant is superb.England stars in the makings on both accounts

  11. 17,567

Thats a great attandance for an U21 match now days. They really seem to have lost interest since the days of David Dunn being captain.

Anyway, seemed like a good atmosphere at ewood today from watching on the tv. And the noise almost covered over the drummers.

It was awful ,was like a creche with all the kids running about bored to tears.

  12. Though 100 hours community service may well get in the way of his football when it comes to training. Punishment for those sorts of things should really be higher, he created a situation in which someone could easily have been killed, just because he, and those around him, were lucky enough for that not to happen, doesn't mean he should get off with what basically is a slap on the wrist.

He doesnt do it all at once.He will prob do it over a year or something.Like Dave says ,im sure he will fit it in no problems and do his training and keep his nightlife

  13. SteB won't be there anyway, he'll be propping up the bar in the cross tonight surely?  unsure.gif

no thats what IM doing, Ste will be at the game but no doubt in the cross for last orders

He'll have plenty of time then on the basis that last orders seem to get later every week there blink.gif

    wink.gif

most definately, I plan on doing a good shift in there tonight. certainly till the g/f comes back from town.

and how would you know that they get later unsure.gif

Is she on the night shift again Dan hehe rover.gif

  14. Atkinson called Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly a "###### lazy, thick nigger"

Now if anyone wants to justify that, feel free.

Ian Wright was on Radio Five earlier this evening where he described ocassions where Atkinson made similar  "joke" comments to him and Garth Crooks.

Atkinson said that he said he had only made them in jest, but continued to make them and ignored the insult that it caused.

  16. Lee Hughes has still not offered any apology for his dreadful driving offence, according to the family of the victim, Douglas Graham.

56 year old Mr Graham died after Hughes' £100,000 Mercedes ploughed into the Renault car in which he was a passenger.

In addition to Mr Graham's death, another passenger in the Renault spent 3 months in a wheelchair after the crash.

Hughes went on the run from the police to avoid a breath test - after reportedly spending over £80 in the pub on vodkas for himself and friends before driving himself home.

Mr Graham's wife Maureen said: "Nobody can understand the huge amount of grief and stress that has been caused to my family over the last year. The person responsible for this has still not acknowledged or ever offered an apology for what he has done to my family."

Instead, officials at Coventry Crown Court have announced that the Brummie lout is going to appeal against his sentence.

A link to this story is below:

    http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/0100ne...-name_page.html

Meanwhile, as was mentioned briefly on another thread, Southampton winger Fabrice Fernandes has been sentenced to 100 hours community service for dangerous driving.

In a lesser offence to that of Lee Hughes, the 24 year old Frenchman downed five vodka and red bulls at a London nightclub before getting into his £60,000 Porsche.

Fernandes jumped several red lights while police were chasing him through the streets of London. He was found to be twice over the limit. As well as his community service, the Frenchman has been fined £10,000 for the offence.

The judge remarked that the fine was "almost meaningless" because of his £15,000 a week wages.

Due to the fact that he did a runner and decides to appeal against his lenient sentence just proves what a coward the guy is.He still wont admit he was wrong and accept his pittance of a sentence. huh.gif
