ive just got that fone on me second free upgrade had me number for 2 years now started off with a 7250i then got a 6230 and now that does things i need it for texting, phoning, word, and mp3's

Also the xbox 360 will be able to play the hd dvd's once the addon is released and it will be just for movies.

the more space on the discs also means developers can be sloppy in there coding. Like taking there time before implying better compression built into the games and so on

you're forgetting that as games develop so does the code and the compression off the game

if I remember rightly blue ray is the disks inside a case thing like mini disks where

I've seen reports suggesting it will be a staggered release with Japan late summer this year, the US around Novemeber then us poor 2nd rate Europeans around March next year.

Hope it's not true as I want the 360 to come down in price sooner.

I've read that the ps3 is banking on the less minded gamers who will think that blue-ray will be the better for games in years to come.

Just ring up the Game in Hull, they have them n and are sending them out to home addresses in England. I bought mine on New Years Eve from there. They made me buy 3 games minimum with it, which i had no complaints about as the tax man was paying for it, lol.

Iv had no problems with it over-heating etc, i'm just annoyed that i can't get my X-Box Live to work.

I think i'll have to buy the PS3 when that comes out as well.

Why whats up with it i had a problem at beginning but that was because hadnt portforwards the ports it used to it from router and plus gotta make sure firewall lets it threw aswell

If anyone is stilla fter one should go into game(blackburn has some) and inquire about it if they dont have a sign up saying can get.

Id like to add that there is surpossedly a water cooling kit coming out soon just for the xbox 360.

Water coolers are proven to help lower the heat and noise around the main chips that need quick heat transfer away from them

You wont be able to get one if you aint already pre ordered it and most places stopped the pre order because they cannot say that you will get one before christmas.

They dont no when will get second delivery could be next year end off jan or feb some was saying.

Good luck finding one and the problem seems to be because they trying to get it all out in like a month space 22nd is usa and then 2nd december europe and then japan last on 10th we get something before japan.

Well, at last, I'm up and running on this new fangled broadband business. Well I am at the moment, I saw a squirrel out the back earlier who looked none too pleased about it. Evil looking sod he was.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, there's not much difference if you ask me apart from it's a lot quicker.

I'm not far from the box on Jack Walker way (Dalglish) if that's any help ah - which it isn't.

If anyone is short on microfilters I've four spare from previous attempts to get broadband from BT. Each time I was told that there wouldn't be a problem, even when I asked them to double check, and it still didn't bleeding work.

The thing is ah, unless I'm very much mistaken, there's no way of knowing when they'll have upgraded to copper in your corner of the farm (unless you spot them removing squirrels and ducks from a grey BT box on the side of the road near your house). They certainly won't ring you, "Ah, Mr ah, you'll be pleased to know that you can get broadband now, sorry for pissing you about old chap, we don't know what we're doing." That won't happen.  I only knew because Lee found out.

Good luck anyway, surely they won't leave one corner of the estate without?

You never no with bt but i think they just done copper to first box not the oither one well yet but hopefully will do for you lot soon eh

Should have gone active last night, when nowt happened all night I rang BT this morning and got told that there is no copper overlay to this part of the estate yet. So am now the owner of two sets of modems and micro-filter but still no connection. Anyone else actually active apart from Lee ?????

I've chosen Zen Broadband, not the cheapest, but they are a local (Rochdale) company, with a long history of providing good connections and an excellent customer service, they've also started to trial LLU in Rochdale but thats for another day/thread.

I just got a fone call from bt saying i can get broadband up to 1meg gone with aol gave us a good discount negotiation and being long time members helps

Delighted!! My upstream speeds aren't great, which thankfully isn't an issue for me right now, but the downstream ones are fine.

That is if i can get broadband with the rain i think bt thought forget doing the copper now even though they got one off them tent things they can use.

If do get we can easily switch to the fibre internet once it comes out i no they testing one or 2 now like 20 times faster than adsl

eek, maybe I should have informed people of why they couldn't get broadband when I found out in June 2003!

I've been in regular discussion with BT since then. Despite knowing I wouldn't be able to get broadband, it hasn't stopped me ordering it with several different companies.

Some of them (NTL, AOL, Tiscali - in other words, the usual hopeless ones) are fool enough to send me a free adsl modem too

I think it was earlyer than that when i found out the proper reason why couldnt get broadband. so been a long wait

i will prob get aol because i am already on aol and plus i game alot and with the new xbox 360 coming out i dont relli wanna be capped and plus will have 3 computers and the xbox connected to it.

On second note the checker still aint changed and aint saw the bt man at the estate box since wednesday so dunno when i get might still order it now and explain to aol the situation.
