1. this 4 5 1 debate is something we have been having, tbh managers have seen chelsea play it last year and many have copied it (us included) i hate it!! souness has reverted back to a 442 or when all fit a 4132 with parker as a holding m/f Rovers are not good enough to play it, fact! this is no dig lads as we also are no where near good enough to play it also, if you had players like robben, duff, wright phillips, makale lamps etc it would work, but sadly the auld ruskie has snapped them up, anyhoooo dont be too downhearted we were outplayed and dare i say outclassed in the first half but if you dont take your chances.........imo i would play kuqi up top with bellend just off him, it would be better as we played him just off shearer, he is not a back to goal player, but have him running on the flick ons and you will see the benefit

  2. Thieves broke into the NUFC trophy room.  Police are looking for a thief with a black and white carpet.

  3. lets be real about it ?

20k fans in the ground were made up of the schoolies, shoppers and the unemployed, they weren't real footie fans. A fiver a head saw to that !

As for St Mick, well he wont see 4 seasons at Newcastle, he wont save them this season and he wont win a trophy with them. His heart is at LFC and that is wehre he will be playing his football next season.

The odds are that NUFC will move up the league, he does guarantee goals of that there is no doubt. The problems newcastle have is NO defence and NO midfield. Emre and Parker are class players, nolberto is past it. Shearer (god bless) is past it, cant jump, cant run.

So IMO nufc will still struggle. The graveyard of visiting strikers is looming large, odds on Owen to break his leg at Ewood ?

Fat Fred has done nothing more than paper the cracks. Souness still out before xmas ohmy.gif

    344419

do you have a source for that my friend, because the fiver a head you yalk about is b o l l o x s tongue.gif funny how the crowd were all in one stand, hey we could ground share!! sell peewood park and hire 2/3 of the stand! BINGO lol

i will keep an eye on this thread and the part where you have the toonhaaallls to say nobby is past it, sun week will be his debut and i for one cannot wait to see the blue and @#/? cry, sheeeeeeeeeeeeaaaarrers last game will be one hell of a match, and finally all joking and pee taking aside, i hope he gets a decent send off, because yes he may only EVER have won one medal, but.....................

HE HAD TO WIN THE DAMN THING HIMSELF thumbs-up.gif

  4. lets be honest here for once, this big club ###### is MEDIA fed, they say it not us, i'm on about signings, the words eggs in one basket springs to mind!! i'm not having a dig, but ?Sparky should have covered more options this close season, is Jansen getting a shot, gallacher, ?

still better than us, we only have 1 striker in our squad for tomorrow!!! (Shearer) still its only the Hammers, not like they are good or owt!!

    **tin hat on**

and yes i am prepared to eat my words tomorrow night if needed

  5. I see Emre has been ruled out of action for 6 weeks with a hamstring tear  laugh.gif

    340212

is that as funny as bellend being ruled out for 6 weeks my friend!! laugh.gif

at least we signed a couple of extra midfielders, who do you have for fulham?? friggin kuqi!!! not a time for laughing cockle thumbs-up.gif

  6. i think £15 for the adult ticket is a bit steep, should charge £5 adult and £1 kid, then for example a dad and his kid can go for £6 not £16, at the end of the day regardless of the opposition it is only a friendly, so get as many in as possible, just think if say 5000 people went yeaterday who have never been to a game, watch a 4-0 win over spanish opposition, if only half of these got 'bitten by the bug' that would stick 2500 on your gate week in week out, but as is football these days, its get as much dosh out the fans as possible

  7. It's just nice to see Newcastle on the self-destruct path now.  A team I've hated for years.  They and Sourface deserve each other.

And he's driven away 14,000 fans there- that's even better than he managed with us- in such a short time too!!

    335069

    source?? withstupid.gif

  8. Yes.

I think ours is likely to remain fairly static at 23 - 24k

Wigans is likely to be a touch over 20k (or it better had be cos then 1864 will owe me a pint!!)

And as a little reminder 1864 - I am led to believe they have sold nearly 12k Season Tickets - better get saving the prices have gone up in the leyland gates again!!!  wink.gif

  9. hahahahahahah why buy ameruso (crap) and Gray (makem crap) linked with Matty Upson from the MIGHTY BCFC, (soz guys couldn't resist) and the boa morte deal is done,

    Given

    Carr Upson/Taylor BOOMsong Babayaro/Lee

    Jenas

    Parker Emre

    Dyer Boa Morte

    Shearer/Kuyt

the Lee deal should be sorted soon (PSV) and as for Kuyt i dunno! but rumours are sweeping around aboit him, so all in all not a bad side at all, but i agree about strength in depth, as chelsea can play 2 strong teams our second team would be like this

    Harper

    Ramage Taylor Huntington Elliot

    Butt

    Faye Bowyer

    Milner Viana

    Ameobi/Chopra
