1. And didnt England beat Arentina in 2002 courtesy of a Owen dive?

Really I thought that was a foul cool.gif

    386401

It was similar to Terry's "foul" on Messi. Some here pointed out that Messi saw Terry coming and didnt move away just to get clattered.

In 2002, Owen leaves his left leg trailing , catches Pocchetino's leg and falls over.

At OT, Rooney did the same thing with Campbell last season.

The point is that unfortunately every team has at least a player or 2 who cheat, so its unfair when people label a whole team as cheaters while conveniently ignoring/supporting cheating by their own players/teams

  2. Oh and as for Lawro....un bloody believable. Does he really think Risse or anyone can hit a ball hard enough to snap someones leg and with the benefit of multiple replays?

Yea sure, as long as its a Liverpool player....

Sarcasm aside, i havent seen many players who can hit the ball harder than Riise or Hamann. Tarnat of Man City also had a monster shot, while our Reid is no spring chicken either biggrin.gif

Juventus coach Fabio Capello has been offered the England job, according to reports in Italy.

The Corriere dello Sport have revealed that Capello has been offered a four-year contract believed to be worth around £19million from the FA to take over from Sven Goran Eriksson after the World Cup.

The Juventus boss, who looks favourite to win the Serie A title this season, is contracted at the Stadio Olympico until 2007 but his future at the club has been put in doubt recently.

Juventus' chief operating officer, Antonio Giraudo hinted this week that the Bianconeri are on the lookout for Capello's successor with Roma trainer Luciano Spalletti the prime target.

  4. This game will have killed off any of the confidence casual fans have gaine din Rovers, could see those who were thinking of returning to Ewood Park for games rethinknig and staying away after today. Isn't football a strange game, one night you beat one of the best teams in world football 4-3, the next game you are losing to a team in the relegation zone

A lot of teams lost at the Hawthorns this season ,Arsenal ,Spurs (2-0) and Man City (2-0). I dotn think its such a catastrophe yet.

    WH are winning though sad.gif

while Wigans late equalizer means Bolton doesnt go more than a point ahead smile.gif

  5. And ManU fans call Arsene a Whinger......

RFW's whining is not very surprising, however whats deplorable is that the media is picking up his words and regurgitating the same old "Bully Boys" rubbish.

according to Ferguson, only failed to retrieve a 4-1 deficit because "Blackburn just cleared the ball into the corners and we lost a lot of energy having to go back and rebuild all the time"

Yea, and we all know Man U didnt waste any time after leading Chelsea 1-0 at OT......

  6. Delusions like these are exactly what makes Toon fans so unhappy. They are stuck in a world where they win every other cup on account of their 50000 "crazy Geordies". And when clubs like Rovers constantly earn more success than them, they just cant stomach it.

Former Newcastle striker Mick Quinn insisted Graeme Souness could have no complaints or excuses after being sacked as the Magpies' manager.

'I think they're going to need someone alongside Alan. Martin O'Neill would be my first choice. Newcastle would be cherry ripe for Martin O'Neill.'

'Newcastle is a bigger job than England.' biggrin.gif

'They're desperate for success - and the sooner the better.'

'They have got time there. There's not a great rush. You have got guys there who can steady the ship. There's enough quality in that squad to push them up the league rapidly.

'It's a massive club. It needs to get its pride back in place. Everything's set up for it to be a top club - they just need to start performing on the pitch.'

  7. Also, regarding the "penalty that never was" am I the only one that noticed on the TV replays that RVN used his hand to push the ball aginst Zura's upper arm, which resulted in the ref seeing it as a penalty?

    378304

    No you are not biggrin.gif

i mentioned it 2 posts earlier!

anyways, nothing will come of any complaint whatsoever, because the referee "saw the incident" and decided that Man Utd deserve the fair end of the stick every time.

I am just waiting for the FA to charge Savage ......
