Steven Reid cannot shoot most of the time. However, vs Bolton he made the most passes in the whole team with Bert not far behind. But still, both are crap in a lot of peoples opinions. Were tuening into Dingles, moan moan moan.

Shearer, hes a great player and a legend, but that doesnt mean he should score. Plus i Hsve memories of him taunting the b-b end after scoring in the 99-00 season in the fa cup

Which also means the decision to substitute Emerton for Kuqi was completely unfathomable to me. In the previous five minutes Emerton had got behind the Bolton defence a couple of times and whipped in decent crosses, we didn't come close to getting behind them once he'd gone off. Instead we simply humped the ball down the middle towards Kuqi, a tactic that was meat and drink to the Bolton defence.

totally agree with the comments on Emo, he's a good player. he did well and Kuqi embarasses me. if all the fans get off emos back, he might do even better. you all have a vendetta against him, as you all expect him to take on 20 men and shoot in to the top corner from 90 yards. he wanted the ball today, whereas pedersen didnt want to know. lay off bert, hes only human.

Nelson-8-Cleared up a lot of messes caused by Zurab and Matteo.

Bentley-6-Does have a natural disease that forces him to g back on himself??

Pedersen-8-Ace 1st half, no service 2nd.

Reid-6-Great 1st half, abysmal second.

Savage-6Wasteful and should have scored/left it to Emerton.

Dickov-7-Played quite well, should have stayed on.

Kuqi-3-Looked tired and his worst game for us. V.Poor.

Bellamy-7- No service but when he did he ripped Pompey to pieces.

Emerton-7-Determind and good defending at times. Lacked good service from the wasteful centre midfielders.

A lot of fans were late in, looked like it would be very low for a bit. Probs down to kick off time.

Pompey fans werent that good, just rang a bell for 90 minutes. Un motivating and a compilaion of them being annoying and our woeful 2nd half contributed to a quite 2nd half.

Remember Wards misses v Man U sending us down. Sad days, the donkey. Ward just happened to be our striker in the barren couple of years 99 n 2000. Kuqi would of done much better.

My head says an easy win as Hughes is not like Souness, he will have the lads motivated for this one. We should win easy but footballs a funny old game.

What are your thoughts on him? I believe:

1- Good player with bags of pace but.....

2-Not enough confidence in his own ability.

It is obvious he is potentially a great player but he needs to believe that. He seems like hes nervous as to how the fans will react if he f""ks up. In his first game(v Wolves 5-1). he was sensational. Great skill and loads of confidence. If he reproduced this he could be the man to lead us to europe.

I have a bad memory, in 03-04 did he do well??? What did he play like. My memory is blank from then, yet I remember all of the season before.

I think the guys great. Loads of effort and would put his body on the line for the lads. two goals today, 6 this season. Not bad for a ' rubbish player'

you say beeb victimise us(they do) but Sky did last night. on the highlights(sky sports news)no rovers until the day after(but loads of arse). and, when it showed the carling cup goals(like clips of goals) no rovers(semi finalist) but newcastle,who didnt make the quarters. we didnt get a mention lst night after the arse match.

Fantastic night. The atmosphere in the away end was brilliant, though we were surrounded by about fifteen thousand empty seats so I'm not sure any Boro fans noticed. Not sure if I too hugged the person who asked when we scored.

are you fair young(adult) and did you go to the front row of the upper tier? it was an amazing night.
