'there's only one...Stead'
hope he's playing on Saturday.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
ahem!

ooooohhhhh?
Strippers anyone?
unfortunately the Boat has closed down this season. Myself and a few other (unnamed) messageboard members checked it out last year and we paid £1 each to get aboard. All I will say is that you get what you pay for!!

you'd never catch me in a place like that either Scotty!

I don't think we need to worry too much about Thommo. Come October and he'll be out for the rest of the season with a recurrance of his knee injury (again).

You'll always be Grabbi to me
wasn't that a Billy Joel song??

How is the Inspirals greatest hits different to the singles collection which came out about 5 years ago?
It's actually a double CD and single DVD - one CD is the greatest hits plus some new stuff, one CD is rare, b-sides, unreleased stuff and the DVD has all the videos, some live stuff and an interview with the band. Best album I've bought in ages!

So Much for the City - fantastic summer listening from the Thrills and Quixotic by Martina Topley-Bird. Both great albums.

I intend visiting a bookshop in the next week or so to purchase "The Wrong Boy".
I look forward to reading it.
It was reported earlier in the year on a Morrissey fan website, that Willy Russell has received a letter from Mozza who wrote to Willy to say that he enjoyed the book.
Have you had the chance yet AESF?
Just bought it myself on yours and Colin's recommendations. Great read so far - just got up to the canal/fly catching episode! Very Disturbing!
I get the feeling it may end up on the lines of The Wasp Factory.....

Just bought the double CD/single DVD collection of Inspiral Carpets hits, 'Cool As'. Absolutely fantastic, reliving my youth with memories of Preston Guild Hall and GMEX 1990.

Ah yes, the boy Banks always churns out a good yarn (except Song Of Stone) and ideal holiday reading material.
Did you have a good time? You've not missed much while you've been away.
song of stone - truly bewildering when you consider the other great boots he's written (The Wasp Factory, Whit and Espedair Street).

Just back from Mallorca and read:
MacCarthy's Bar and The Road to MacCarthy - Pete MacCarthy - very funny and I recommend them if you're into Tony Hawks type books
After the Quake - Haruki Murakami
The Alchemist - Paulo Colio
In fact I would recommend them all as easy holiday reading and all of them different from each other

30 in a couple of months time

anyone know who Fulham are playing on the Thursday night and if they are away?
-
AIR - MOON SAFARI
Great choice - will be an all time classic.
Just got 'Have you fed the Fish' by Badly Drawn Boy and cannot stop listening. Fantastic, and better than their first album!
-
yes, Dunn and Yorkie are in the squad

will I stand a better chance of getting my ticket if I queue in person on Monday morning rather than try phoning?
