  1. official site confirming that Bristol to Cardiff trainline will be a replacement bus service!! click here
  2. 'there's only one...Stead' hope he's playing on Saturday.
  3. unfortunately the Boat has closed down this season. Myself and a few other (unnamed) messageboard members checked it out last year and we paid £1 each to get aboard. All I will say is that you get what you pay for!!
  4. you'd never catch me in a place like that either Scotty!
  5. I don't think we need to worry too much about Thommo. Come October and he'll be out for the rest of the season with a recurrance of his knee injury (again).
  6. damo gally wasn't that a Billy Joel song??
  7. It's actually a double CD and single DVD - one CD is the greatest hits plus some new stuff, one CD is rare, b-sides, unreleased stuff and the DVD has all the videos, some live stuff and an interview with the band. Best album I've bought in ages!
  8. So Much for the City - fantastic summer listening from the Thrills and Quixotic by Martina Topley-Bird. Both great albums.
  9. Have you had the chance yet AESF? Just bought it myself on yours and Colin's recommendations. Great read so far - just got up to the canal/fly catching episode! Very Disturbing! I get the feeling it may end up on the lines of The Wasp Factory.....
  10. Just bought the double CD/single DVD collection of Inspiral Carpets hits, 'Cool As'. Absolutely fantastic, reliving my youth with memories of Preston Guild Hall and GMEX 1990.
  11. song of stone - truly bewildering when you consider the other great boots he's written (The Wasp Factory, Whit and Espedair Street).
  12. Just back from Mallorca and read: MacCarthy's Bar and The Road to MacCarthy - Pete MacCarthy - very funny and I recommend them if you're into Tony Hawks type books After the Quake - Haruki Murakami The Alchemist - Paulo Colio In fact I would recommend them all as easy holiday reading and all of them different from each other
  13. 30 in a couple of months time
