  1. I went to this one on the special train along with 6 pints of home brew.

I remember they sold beer in the ground too & you could go back to your seat with it.

Unusual to have seats behind the goals back then.

Also went to a night match in 1973 and stood on that East terrace. The thing I remember was it was huge. Everything seemed like it was twice normal size. Even the bogs were massive. That was in the old 3rd Division when we were really crap. We lost 4-3.

  2. We heard that they are actually going to abandon that policy for weekdays, so they will be taking bookings for any size of party except at the weekend when it will still only be parties of 6+ who can book. I assume this will apply at the Clog and Billycock as well.

Correct. Went tut Clog last neet and were towd t'same.

Tables booked up but managed to get one because we were early and promised to sod off by 7.30

EDIT- By the way,the grub was excellent.

  3. T' Clog must be the mboard favourite.

Called at Clog Monday teatime but too early for food.

    Carried on to.....

    Coach & Horses, Bolton-by-Bowland.

It's now finished being done up.

Only had a beer and a butty which was good. Restaurant and menu look very nice indeed.

    Anyone been?

  4. How does the Hi-life card actually work??

Is is just main meals that are 2 4 1 ?

    Any help much appreciated.

    click for Hi-Life

    I had Hi-life about 6 years ago.

If it's still the same, there's varying types of offer depending on the restaurant.

Some of the good places excluded popular times e.g.Saturday evenings.

Also, many places only allow you one visit per annum but others didn't bother.

  5. Blackburn on the bus, the 124 from Chorley. I may be wrong, but I think Alexei Sayle mentions the 124 from Chorley to Blackburn in his book- 50 Worst Bus Journeys In The World,

The 124 is a nice route that takes you through exotic places like Abbey Village,Brinscall and Wheelton.

I used it after yesterdays game.

Trouble is, you have to bugger off at quarter to five to catch it. I wonder if Stagecoach could alter the times on Saturdays?

    Sorry, I'll shut up.

Here's Kinsey's goal from the City game.
