Club is so badly diseased now that anybody going near the place gets instantly infected. This now way beyond mistakes, bad advice, naievity.

Venkys, Pasha , Cheston , Coar- gtf out of our Club.

by 10pm on Weds 23rd August this Club could be all but done and dusted .If the worst ( but the expected) happens between now and then , morale will be so low that it will be virtually impossible to come back from.

The Club needs to be back in local ownership with people who care to give it a heartbeat again and get proper rovers blood running back through the veins of the Club.

i have no idea whether the proposal still stands but in the name of god , get on the phone to the 2 Ian's and see what can be done .Your time is up Venkys , it can't ever be mended whilst you lot are here. Please , please give these people a chance to put some faint hope back into the Town . It needs a radical , radical change or this Club could slither away this season in an empty ground and where there is nothing left to save.

Enough is enough now. It's over. You cannot possibly think there is any hope left whilst any of you are around the place.

    Absolutely right.

11,500 Rovers fans on yesterday is incredible given the last 7 years.

Better not take any action or make any protests though because that would only make things worse wouldn't it?

Been saying for years the club is set up to fail from the top down any coaches, managers and players that come in will never succeed until the ownership changes.

Still a long way Rovers can fall. Local rivalries against AFC Fylde and Curzon Ashton await.

  2. Before this season, Bolton paid 5.5 million on interest for there debt last year, having had there debt for a while i wonder how much interest has been accumulated and representative to the 160 million figure?

Davies' company received an annual "loan arrangement fee" and a very decent interest rate on the loans to Burnden Leisure.

And to say he doesn't need his money back! Well he has a net worth of £40M so would you want £150M back? He makes kettles FFS.

Very grim times ahead at Bolton and at Rovers I think.

  3. I didn't see many of Comstives' games at Burnley etc obviously but I remember and saw all his games for Rovers and as a young player he was a strong lad with plenty of energy but maybe lacked pace and a first touch.

He was only brought into the team when we were down to the (very) bare bones, the task later filled by Peter Devine, Tony Diamond and ultimately for Saxton by Paul McKinnon. But he showed enough in the reserves as I recall to interest other clubs (He must have made 100 or more appearances for the ressers).

Made the most of the talents he had a had to make a career albeit in the lower leagues.

Terrible news for his family. Hope Rovers mark this at the next game but Venkys not to got a good record on these things.

  4. I can only get it down 10.....Oh wait,11.

  5. Hardly a surprise.

I loved Brad but I think we shipped him out at the right time – no matter how hard it was to stomach at the time.

Clearly, he's not playing in the best Villa team but I think it's clear that age is finally catching up with him.

He'd make an excellent goalkeeping coach!

""Villa scouts have looked at Rangers keeper Allan McGregor,28, as a possible replacement for Friedel.""

Good luck with that one Gerald.

  6. No point in calling for players to be included from Reserve or Youth team coz they aren't any better.

He's got to work with what he has.

    I suggest...

Work on the defence, get them doing basic stuff like marking centre forwards. Play 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 if need be because we HAVE to stop conceding goals. Also get in a right-back before the month's out.

Abandon wide men coz we don't have anyone deserving of a place on the left and Bentley needs to be on the ball as often as we can. Maybe Reid, Dunn, A Newbuy and Bentley behind Santa or McCarthy up with Santa and Bentley in Mid. We therefore need a centre-mid to replace Savage.

But the main thing is we need to be able to keep the ball and that just means practice and not having players in the team who constantly give the ball away ( Tugay, Mokoena, Pedersen, Emerton) Our possesion retention is nothing short of amateurish at the moment.
