  1. I'm in your neck of the woods just now, for Iron Maiden at the Pru Centre in Newark on Monday night - supported by Alice Cooper. Really looking forward to both, here for Maiden but can't complain about the support act.

When I came through immigration at EWR airport the other night the officer gave me some grief cos I'd slept all the way over so hadn't filled in a customs form, so I got sent to the back of the line to complete the form.

When he called me back he said "purpose of visit?" .... I said "Iron Maiden Monday night". He just looked at me and asked "you seen Alice Cooper before son?" ... "no"... he slammed the admission stamp down on my passport, handed it back and just said "Welcome to My Nightmare". Class!

That's my favorite CD of his! Very jealous as I've never seen him live. Old crue is more my style when it comes to them, anything after Dr Feelgood is just meh though Generation Swine had a few okay songs on it. The Rock (as the prudential center is known) is a really great venue. Sorry for the oppressive heat we've been having. If you see this sometime before you gig and have any questions or anything at all feel free to shoot me a PM. Enjoy the visit!

  2. So FIFA 13 announced for September 28th but with loads of "incentives" for pre-orders like an Adidas All Star Team if bought from Game and 10,000 EA points if bought from Amazon.

    What a crock of sh...

Absolutely. Done with fifa after my g/f bought me 12 last year. Sticking to NHL as my only sports game from here on out.

  3. A lot of what is great has already been said but just want to throw one out there I haven't seen mentioned yet: House of Lies on Showtime. Very good first series, 12 episodes. Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Richard Schiff ,Ben Schwartz, and quite a few more.

Also, obligatory BSG and GoT endorsements.

  4. Had the pleasure of reading a book a friend of mine wrote and it has received amazing feedback and success. I think it is a very sweet, touching and funny story of a girl and the bond her and her eccentric father share. It's called "the reading promise" by Alice Ozma. Please let me know if anyone reads it, I'd love to hear what you thought and pass along some feedback.

  5. 22 year old Rovers fan from New Jersey, USA. Aside from following footy, big MMA, NHL, NFL, MLB, and AFL fan. Also play a decent amount of games, though right now I only have an xbox if you want to add me. Rovers supporter since Sparky and a proud member of The NYCRovers.

  6. I may get the Tiger game, I used to love them but then grew tired of them after the same game year on year with minor tweaks (same as I did with Smackdown Vs Raw)

I've been waiting for weeks for Gamestation to get more stock of Alice:Madness returns now as I have £22 credit there and want that game.

The wife is out on Saturday and I'm staying in with the baby and fancied a new game but don't know what, really bored of FPS games so they are out.

This might not be up your alley at all but the newest MK has a story mode that is really long (unreal for a fighting game,) and I loved it. The new fatalities are great, the challenge tower lives up to its name (if not tediously,) and the game really got me excited for the MK series again.

  7. Has anyone else heard of a band called The Weeknd (and that's not a misspelling)? I heard one of their tracks late one Sunday night on Radio 1 and have been liking them ever since. It's a mix of R'N'B, Dubstep and Indie. They sound great IMO.

Just started listening to this artist but I found it through the Flufftronix Remix of high for this. Quite like the original too though.
