Rumours that Sigurdsson refused to play for the U21s last game so it seems his time here is up. Pathetic attitude, with 6 months left on his contract in Jan I doubt we'll get much of a fee though, and that will probably be our budget, minus a cut for the twats in Pune.
where did you hear that pal , I heard nothing .

The £9 million they got from Szmodics fee has been spent on wages. How do you think Cantwell’s (and the rest) wages have been covered?
We’ve done what Allardyce did at Bolton, in this window.
what about the rest of the money the parasites have brought in . Same as Bolton 😄 🤣

2nd half it took us 4 and half minutes to possess the ball and that was from a handball as well.

Fine, judge every team on the same standards, despite vastly different spending power. Your choice.
good job uncle Jack had a better vision than you.

We are a team cobbled together on a shoestring budget.
Is it really surprising that we should lose to a side who will probably be promoted, (or certainly go very close)?
It isn't good enough, but blame the owners, not the coaching staff.
If we lose on Wednesday that would be a different matter, because Stoke are very much in our section of the Championship.
stoke a budget team? their owners are minted

The team shape was the same as every other home game this season, which has brought a fantastic return.
With the subs at his disposal, I just think the guf in class was too big whatever he had done.
The good start has gone to a few heads, today always had the chance to be a mismatch.
not gone to my head , I'm just sick of boring tippy back passing like crabs , creating pressure at the back .

Clearly Sheffield are a cut above us, so any criticism has to be tempered.
But seeing Dolan and Hedges line up again and again as we fail to get anywhere NEAR the opposition goal is a slap in the face.
I can't think of any worse front lines in the division than ours.
nothing has to be tempered ffs , we didn't even try and win the game which is unforgivable, imagine if Tamworth had that attitude last night.

Not the result we all wanted today. Thought Sheff united looked a top 2 team today.
Rovers started the game really well and I was encouraged by it then Burrows scored after poor defending. After their goal, we still getting into their final third but then let down by final pass or decision being the wrong one.
After they scored again, it was game over.
I think Ohashi did well today. hold the ball up well, good touches but second half he should have shot not look for another pass. Just shoot FFS!
Beck was my man of the match.
I thought Eustace should have 4-4-2 second half play Gueye or Leonard with Ohashi just before they scored their second.
Onto the Stoke game and lets win the game on Wednesday. Not disappointed a
it was game over yesterday when he made his game plan today . We set up like a bunch of cowards with no will or want to win . Goal down jrc should have been yanked off there and then , up there with worst defending I've ever witnessed in my life.

Today merely confirmed:
- Pears is a liability - cost us their 2nd goal (and he'll cost us time and time again as he's done in the past). Time for Toth.
- Dolan and Hedges are rank. Dolan is a legend in his own mind - the little upstart thought he could replace Sammie in the 10 role, utterly deluded. Hedges is finished, any pace has gone and contributes nothing.
- Neither Ohashi nor Gueye can play the lone striker role, Eustace has to change formation and try them as dual strikers and hope Gueye wreaks some havoc and Ohashi picks up the pieces.
- Cantwell is our only offensive player with quality. Forget all the feckin bolloocks about 'drifting from the left'. He has to play centre 10 and be allowed to pull all the strings. Simple as.
Sadly, unless - Eustace sees sense, we might just have entered a death spiral.
We need oodles more of Beck's strength, determination, leave nothing on the pitch attitude and competence to match and oodles more of Cantwell's vision, technique and quality.
The writing is on the wall.
why would anyone thumbs down 👎

Wait, you think those are low effort performances?
I think it's a team going flat out - which is why we struggle to back it up when we have 2 games a week.
Dolan, Hedges, Weimann, Buckley, Pickering, Pears - all L1 players.
Sheffield United brought Harmer off the bench ffs.
if you think today wasnt flat out I'd hate to see a shit one

I think he’s decent and will come good, some of his flicks ons and hold up play has been really good, his passing terrible and finishing yet to be proven by a long shot but I think there’s glimpses there
his finishing ain't been proved with long shot , short shot or even a header.

I had wandered to the Stepps yesterday when he did that run or whatever it can be described as and hand on heart can't ever remember a worse run in watching football , it was up there with ( for old farts ) the bedknobs and broom sticks scene. I've seen better on Sundays at 1030 after a belly full at Suttys.
