We hardly romped home though did we. We were promoted with just 2 games to go. We were just fortunate that when we dropped points at Gillingham and Bristol during the run in Shrewsbury failed to take advantage otherwise it may have been a different story.

Rubbish- the only reason why we didn’t go up sooner is because of Shrewsbury. The rest of the league were miles behind.

Sharpe has pretty much said that Freeman is the only deal he can see happening. Fucking shambles this.

How ? If we pay £6-£8 million for him- which I think is in the region of what we have in total for our transfer budget- it’ll mean the rest of the budget for permanent players is gone.

We have urgent areas on the pitch that needs filling, we've had all summer to sort it out , we desperately lack pace out wide and a brute up top , disaster if we start Millwall game with no one else coming in, they best be some special flipping loans !

    I wouldn’t go that far!

  4. “QPR were last week fined £17m for breaching FFP spending limits during the 2011-12 season and the club’s owners must also find £21.97m to convert outstanding loans owed to shareholders into equity.”

Taken from the London Evening Standard

QPR need the money! Apologies is this has already been posted- it’s moving that quick on here though!

McGinn would be a quality signing but id imagine If Celtic up their bid he will be going there.

At least if the link is true it suggests we have a few bob left to spend

I don’t think they can afford to. I also don’t think the lad would want to stay in Scotland, if a move to England was possible.

I do wonder if Sharpe keeps his cards close to his chest or is actually in the dark with regards to these matters.

    What do ye reckon?

I don’t think he knows too much. He was behind Sky Sports, in knowing about Palmer. The truth is, I don’t think many people know about the club’s dealings.

With regards to the next signing, I think the it will be Chapman. Boro are obviously needing cash, so why not sell one of their reserves?

Not many will be happy at being lied to about a 'competitive budget', in order to sell season tickets. You choose to be fooled, that's your choice.

Sorry? Choose to be fooled? I’m not a fan who spits their dummy out- obviously like yourself- when we don’t sign players for money. I had a season ticket last season, when we fell to the lowest level I’d ever seen us play at, and for many years previous to that.

We get there and have brought in nobody, then TM remarks there was money to spend, but not 'the right deals'..

Then IMO he's complicit with Venkys, and loses a lot of respect.

You aren’t the chap who was complaining about the Hull tickets are you? ?

I’d happily stick with the squad that we have now, than going out and buying for the sake of it.

Smallwood and Evans have done well breaking up most of the stuff going through the middle. All Ipswich's attacks have basically come through Edwards (and one suicidal Nyambe through ball). Samuel hasn't really been involved.

I feel a bit for Samuel. The lad’s a striker and he’s continuously played on the wing.
