  1. Is this the first time a concert has been held on the Ewood Park pitch?

On the whole I think it is a good thing. He's not my cup of tea but undoubtedly is a big name in the world that will hopefully attract a big crowd to Blackburn and help both the club and local businesses. Concerts and international matches are regularly held at rivals' grounds, it's something that has been neglected in this part of the world over the last few years. These are the sort of things that will get non-Blackburn Rovers supporting people to visit Blackburn, spend their money and use the hotels etc.

Rock FM had some sort of concert back in the early 2000's with loads of different acts on...apart from that I can't really remember anything else.

  2. If anybody needs a home programme from this season (except Wolves), I have a number of them for sale at £1 each - they can either be collected at the next home game or can post them out, total UK price £2.50. If there are any overseas supporters wanting them, let me know what you need and I'll get a price to you.

  4. Telegraph reckons Lenihan and O'Sullivan won't feature tonight because they are in the squad for tomorrow.

you are a kid in the academy - would you rather play in your cup final, or keep the bench warm for a league match that means nothing to either team? Personally I'd be playing my strongest team tonight...

  5. The worst/most embarrassing at the minute I think is that "This is Blackburn! Get out of our town!"

It really makes me cringe for some reason.

Couldn't agree more, as its probably sung by kids who would probably fill their trackies if faced by those they were singing it at...

  6. Hi OzRover

I working with BRFCS on setting up a section of the site selling both current season and vintage (pre 1960) rovers programmes - it isn't up and running yet, but seems as good a reason as any to announce it.

Anyway, I have a few spare copies of the Bristol City programme which sold out some 30 minutes prior to the match (a rare occurrence), so if you can DM me your e-mail address, I'm sure we can get something sorted out for you.

  7. I might selling mine if you want it? 10' x 5' - st george with the union jack in the top left corner. bottom left corner B R in blue lettering and the bottom right corner F C white lettering on a blue background - can email you a pic if you like?

  8. Hi all- I was wondering where or how one would go about getting a flag made, just like the standard English flag, with some sort of message like the above on it?

I checked ebay, and there didn't seem to be anything. Has anyone bought/had one of these made before?

Out of interest, was that your flag up in the Riverside yesterday?

  11. In conjunction with Glenn and SteB, we are going to start selling rovers programmes on here with the aim being to raise money for the website. There will be two pinned threads, the first being current season programmes available to pre-order or buy at £3.50 (£3.00 cost + £0.50 donation to BRFCS) plus P&P. The second thread will have older (pre 1970 programmes) for sale with a picture and description, price, etc. 10% of the sale price (excluding P&P) will be donated to BRFCS with the remainder reinvested in more programmes to sell for the website.
