did anyone notice what bolton's attendance was yesterday? according to motd it was 42,000! last i heard the reebok staduim only held 28,000!

if the decision hadn't been made in a high profile game like chelsea - liverpool then there's no way there would be this much coverage. look at the linesmans decision against fulhum, just as bad but there's been hardly any fuss made over it.

also today on SSN they said that the decisions had to be better now that they are affecting such high profile games! just shows the mentality of the media that they only care about big clubs.

Absolutly gutted after today. How the referee didn't give a penalty in the first half is beyond me. After Jaskelinen had saved the first penalty Roberts should have just blasted the ball down the middle, no problems.

Bolton have to be the worst footballing team in the league. They don't even try to play anything that resembles proper football, it's like watching Rugby.

edit: I remember a couple years ago when Liverpool and Newcastle played on the last day (or near to it) and whoever won would finish 4th and get into the Chamions League... Didn't Liverpool then go onto win the Chamions League in the following season (having beaten Newcastle to qualify in 4th place)?

We definatly need to get rid of the drummers. When they bang at the opposition goal keeper and that they can't even keep time with the simplest of chants makes it all the more embarressing.

Real Madrid aren't the most physical of teams. If we have Dickov back and Savage playing well then we are in with a real shout given Arsenal's away record this season.

Most promising news yet regarding next seasons' squad. Great to hear how committed he is to the club, and maybe now he can become a major hit with the fans, as I don't feel there has been a major connection yet, though perhaps I am wrong.

How long is it since we've been able to say "If we beat Arsenal we go above them!" Really excited about the next month of games and it would be fantastic if we can get a win on Saturday. Arsenal have been crap away against Northen clubs this year so I fancy us to win!

His injury shows that when a player is really injured they don't roll around on the floor howling like players such as Ronaldo do.

Did look nasty. Lawro again showing how little he knows even when watching the game by saying at least twice 'It looks like the sheer force of the ball hitting his right leg has done it!' It was blatently obvious he'd twisted his LEFT leg under his body. Hate him so much!

An embaressing 1-0 with Stead scoring his first goal of the season

Hopefully Liverpool will give Utd a hard game today and there will be a couple of sendings off.

To have any chance of winning we need to get an early goal, then nick a second as Utd come looking for the equaliser.

Todd and Gray both had good games last night. I thought Gray played extremley well against Ronaldo considering Pedersen wasn't doing nearly enough covering, probably due to the fact he is v. slow.

Gutted he's gone, hope he gets the reception he deserves if and when he plays against us.

In terms of talent and skill he is 2nd only to Bellamy.

He's not good enough for this team.  He might have been if he'd continued the form of the last half season with Cole distracting everyone else.  He always had fantastic skills, but like the chinese guy who can do all sorts of footie tricks (can't remember his name) they weren't suitable for team football.

Surely if Jansen plays with Bellamy it will be a similar situation as it was with Cole? Or is that too simple?

Jansen is the 2nd best striker at the club, all he needs is a decent run in the team alongside Bellamy. I would be very excited to see those two together.

Great game today. Thought the whole team played well, especially Neill, Tugay and Bellamy. Even Mokoena played well at right back, even though when he get's the ball he has no composure.

The difference Bellamy makes to the team is unbelievable, everytime he gets the ball he's a threat. We haven't had a player like this since Duff left (who by the way is injured for a change). If in January we can sign another striker we have a genuine chance of European football next season and a good cup run.
