  1. I have been pretty clear Benni is far from blameless.

I fail to understand the logic. A manager tells a player to sort himself 'and you will be play'. He even puts mutually acceptable goals in place (by McCarthy's own admission) to help. However the manager is ignored as the player thinks he knows best. How the f is that the managers fault?? Astonishing!

We all saw the arrogant git wobbling about with crumbs round his mouth!

This may sound really odd but on Wednesday I got a strong feeling that the players themselves were happy that a disruptive influence had gone. They were more relaxed and it showed in the first half. How much of a disruptive influence Benni was remains to be revealed. I suspect a considerable amount.

I was told by one of them they were glad to see him go and dont want him back because 'hes a cocky twit' and a 'lazy (do not use that word again)er'

  2. Philipl is deluded in thinking Sam is responable. McCarthy was told to pull his socks up and put the pies down but couldnt be arsed - he has a big head with nothing inside it other than a self inflated opinion of his own worth and pictures of pies. Basically a stupid, arrogant b'stard. Ive not doubt the London journos will be waxing lyrical over his performances in the coming weeks having a laugh at poor little Rovers' bigshot striker wanting to play at a higher level at West Ham but I'll bet we have the last laugh next season.

Oh and a senior player also told me he was an arrogant twit and that many down there were quite glad to see the back of him.

  3. Think what you want. It appears that a number of senior first team players want away, even if McCarthy has been the most vocal about it (he has more at stake with the World Cup situation). He hasn't been so unfit as to be left out of the squad has he??

A better man manager would have got the maximum out of this talented player, using the World Cup situation positively to the benefit of Blackburn Rovers, rather than allowing a situation to develop where he might join a rival for whatever pittance they now choose to offer - and no doubt bag a hatful of goals for them to prove a point to his ex-manager.

Tugay, then Warnock, now maybe McCarthy, good players who didn't need to be forced out or sold. Rumblings that Dunn, Pedersen and Hoilett don't like what's happening.

There's a real fear for me that Allardyce's legacy will be a squad stripped of entertaining, talented footballers and it will take years to rebuild a Blackburn Rovers team worth paying to watch.

...anti Sam crap and you must be having a laugh mentioning the word entertainment in relation to the dross we are trying to get rid of.

Making rumours up about unrest with the senior players doesnt help matters either and you know its bollux too - look at the facts and dont listen to the ill informed or those with another agenda.

List of senior players stamping their little feet.

    Roberts - being pushed (entertaining???)

    Pederson - being pushed (entertaining???)

Diouf - Benni's bezzy mate and Bolton (frequent) drinking partner. (entertaining???)

Hoilett - Wants to be a striker (entertaining?? - can be)

    Benni - being pushed (entertaining...bi-annually!)

Dunn - wants a long contract but Rovers worried about his fitness (entertaining?? - can be)

Warnock - we neded the cash

    Tugay - can't play with a zimmer.

    Anyone want to keep them??

  4. He probabaly had a letter about his permit at some point but couldnt be arsed reading it. He just put the letter to one side with his big thick bank statements and take away menus.

I wouldn't want him after this as he will have a right sulk on him. He has had issues at every club hes been at - West Ham are welcome to him.

Sam won't lend him out btw - we need the cash now!

  5. We can barely scrape 18K Rovers fans to watch this great team...I personally feel so frustrated and sorry for the team, manager and Rovers board.

I simply dont know what the answer is anymore. sad.gif

How can the gate be accurate ?? the electronic card scanning system packed up at 2.45 at both ends of the Riverside and the stewards opened the emergency gates and let everyone pile in.

  6. One of the half wits was behind me in the Riverside last season banging his firkin drum so loud it was bloody ridiculous...you couldnt hear a thing. A good few around me were really annoyed and told the beating gurning idiot to bugger off home and play with it somewhere else - he looked to the steward nervously for help who said that he had lost his hearing so he wouldnt be able to hear the slaps if anyone fancied beating the drummer

  7. Alan Smith's reputation precedes him - if Savage had broken his leg in a similar fashion then you could cruise the boards of many a team reading how delighted everyone is by his injury...but this doesn’t necessarily make people ‘sick’. Human nature likes to see the 'baddies' get their comeuppance and this is what is being reflected in some of the comments on here.

I don’t like Smith - I think he is a very, very average footballer with sh!t for brains who is trying to build a hard-man reputation but is not clever/skilled/hard enough to carry it off . However, I wouldn’t wish the injury he received to day on any individual but the persona some of these guys deliberately cultivate means I wont be judgemental of anyone gloating over his broken bones and dislocated ankle.

  8. No read all of this thread but why did not Rovers include a clause in his transfer that he could not play against us today ?

"...off you pop Matty we dont want you anymore cause we think you are crap - Oh and by the way, you cant play against us with your new team whoever they may be"

I know what I would have said....

  9. ...whos laughing at us FFS...

If you leave your job you can go and work for anyone you choose - are some people suggesting that Jansen should have been put on bloody garden leave??

Another point is that Rovers have not being paying vast wages to Jansen as the insurance policy was void due to the nature of his accident - he has been paid on appearences since his accident which I believe will not amount to very much (comparitively). He has hardly been milking us since squashed his melon in Rome.

I for one wish him luck and do any of you really honestly think for a minute that he will come back and haunt us? Hughes is no fool - he would not have let him go if thought for a moment that Jansen could return to form.

  10. One thing that really struck me last night was what a waste of space Ronaldo is - he just runs fast, jiggles his legs a bit with his little red bootees on ( laugh.gif ) and falls over every bloody time anyone goes near him...talent wasted on showboating and trying to get others booked. I work in Manchester with loads of pub reds who also reckon he's a waste of space.

...and as for Smith being the new Keane...FFS

  11. We will always be a small club ripe for 'a good slagging' from the southern based media if we don't fight our corner.

A good proactive (clever!) PR Agency can turn public perceptions on their head for businesses far smaller than BRFC.

Imagine if you are a player on the receiving end of the vitriol last week looking for support - Hughes comes out and whispers his defence of tactics but what did the club say???

  12. What really hacks me off is the fact that the Rovers PR machine doesn't exist and as a result they never publically counter critism like other clubs...they just sit there and take it.

Think back to all those times of negative publicity for rovers - whats the club done to counter?? Absolute Jack.

  13. The Rangers Manager, who sounds like Rab C Nesbitt, has just been on Radio 5 live stating that Rovers are not in a position to negotiate as Baz is intent on joining Rangers. The idiot was more or less saying that we had no choice other than to give him to them.

Does anyone else feel like they have just banged their head on a cupboard when they hear the utterings of idiots like this?? mad.gif
