Penalty?
In disbelief.

Saddening news, especially the manner in that it was handled.
Will always be remembered as a worthy servant of the club and I hope he still come to Ewood as a fan.
Always sad to see someone like that go, especially somewhat unexpectedly.
Agree that the leak should be punished if found.
Thanks for your years Tony. Legend.

Grabbi was far worse than Egil.
-
Didn't have a good feeling about todays game. Better a striker than a defender though...

anyone know anywhere i can watch the game on the internet?
cheers
I'd be happy with audio.

Hopefully Andy Todd can pick up the pace quickly.
Pleased that Macca kept his spot.

Must win IMHO.

Pleasing result I thought. Liverpool would have expected the 3 points and we battled hard after a pretty average first 20 minutes for a point.
Very happy with Sparky showing faith in McEveley. I think he is a better defensive player than Micky Gray, and that is an area that we need solidarity. Gray provides alot going forward, but I think Macca provides something that Gray lacks.
I think he showed alot of composure for a young lad. Stick with him Sparky, I think he has alot to offer. Bar his one obvious error, he got stuck in and his defensive efforts contributed to Emmo getting a fair bit of the ball.
No complaints with the forwards. Good to see Bothroyd score. He is finding his feet gradually. Stead unleashed a corking left foot strike, but I just can't wait for his confidence to come back.
Emmo is showing us why we bought him. Pacy, strong and creative. We need him.
Hopefully the way we played for the latter 70 odd minutes puts some confidence into the lads.

2 points out the window.

Would love Steadinho to break his duck with a sealer.
-
Baaaaaaaaazz!
Gotta love him.
-
Having troubles too.

Not overly confident this week. Hope we can draw out a point or three
.

Good to see another Aussie on board, evukovic.
5am start for me. Hopefully worth it, like the Fulham game last season.
-
Would like to see guys such as Bothroyd, Duggie and Janny given full games.
-
We love Matty Jansen!
Great to have him back, and great to see Mark Hughes on the sidelines.
So much positivity around here!

For fans in Australia, Foxtel is showing delayed coverage of the game at 2am AEST Sunday morning and a replay at 5pm AEST Sunday afternoon.
Awesome. A winnable game too - need to keep Yakubu quiet.
Off to the pub soon, but I should be able to catch most of the game at 2am.

Is a sad day. He was a good manager for us, but as other posters have eluded to, it is strange with Cole and Yorke going.
Good luck to him, but I can't help but feel bitter.
Keen to see who we get to take over.
-
Unexpected....
-
I for one am glad that we have got rid of Yorke and cole and have brought in some younger additions.
If you ask me then id say having Stead, Gally, Jay, Dickov and jansen as in there you have 5 strikers who all want to play and all want to prove themselves.
Yorke and Cole have already proven themselves in the past so i felt that they believed they didnt have to work as hard.
10/10 for the signings, given our financial climate
Agreed.
Dickov is doing the job thus far, and for less cash.

It just had to be that filth Alan Smith didn't it.
What is it with us and being done right at the death?
Might be one of those seasons.
-
Filthy.
Gutted.
-
C'mon you Rovers. Let's beat this filth again.
How good is Frieds?

Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiickov. I'm quickly becoming a big fan for the lad.

Was an enthralling game.
I like the line-up Sparky is playing. Todd and Nissa are the most reliable at the moment at centre-halves whilst Neill and McEveley will be persisted with.
Tugay should be benched for David Thompson. Thommo is a remarkable player when flying and he is finally 99% fit and should be given 90 minutes. He showed his spark when he set up Reids goal and ran around like a fox terrier.
Honestly thought I'd be having more relegation thoughts at Half Time, but we did well. Reid is in fine form at the moment and he deserved a goal for his past month. As for Gallagher, well, I love that man. Glad to see he is working his way back into the line-up.
Dickov is the man. Without this bloke, we'd be complete easy beats.
Oh, and I nearly lost it when Jansen scored. Legend of the club.
All in all, defensive idiocy lost us 3 points once more.
