[Archived] Signed Blackburn Rovers ball for charity..

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Hope the mods are okay with me posting this here (if not, please move it to where it should be...)

My name is Martin and I work for Yeovil Town Football Club along with my twin sons aged 16. Last month, we visited all 92 Premier & Nationwide League grounds collecting signed memorabilia to auction off upon our return. Had some fantastic times during the two weeks we were away, memories to last a lifetime. Watched twelve matches, met loads of ex-Yeovil players and collected about fifty items for the two charities - the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and the Adam Stansfield Foundation. If you want to read more, our website is at http://www.4-2-3-1.org

We have a signed Blackburn Rovers football available to bid on, courtesy of the club. The ball is now on eBay until 8.35pm on Thursday evening (1st June), we hope it will make a decent amount so please feel free to bid.

Thanks for allowing me to post and good luck next season.

Just over an hour left on this item now....

Not your fault but there is a lot of apathy towards Rovers at the minute. Most of those who have signed played a part in our relegation and many have now been released, several probably on to better things.

All the best with your fund raising.

Hi Stuart,

I understand, and thanks for taking the time to reply. It's proving harder than expected to auction the Hull and Sunderland shirts for the same reason. And speaking of negativity towards the club, I was almost run off the Blackpool forum although I did manage to get a few quid for the shirt.

Good luck next season though

Don't envy you! Blackpool fans have it nearly as bad as us but are far more militant - in a good way (mostly!).
