Think with the hull lad coming in the four centre back options of Wharton, Hyam, Carter and McLoughlin have plenty of Championship experience and are a decent mix.ย
Wharton wasn't good enough before he got injured IMO... Now he's been out for over a season I can't imagine he'll be coming back an improved player.ย

Has this CB from Hull been completed yet?
From my understanding he was overseas with Hull for pre season and the bid has only just been accepted.ย

This is uncharacteristically churlish of me, but I wouldn't sell to Derby.ย If it comes down to a few hundred thousand I'd rather take a bit less money and sell him to Boro, frankly. They've nicked our manager, nicked two of our out of contract lads, have been sniffing around Travis, linked to Dolan and now want Brittain.ย If I was Rovers I think I'd try to make it known that he's available for ยฃ3m, unless Derby phone, then he's available for ยฃ4m.ย
You have to simply look at it as a club trying to take our players to take our league position... So fuck em, sell to Boro.ย

So we should be proud and happy that a lad developed through our academy, a Rovers fan, is ushered out the back door in the dying days of January for a relatively small fee to what was a smaller club until this lot took over, and then none of thatย money is used to improve or advance Rovers in any way?
I'm pleased for Adam and his family and delighted he's developed but totally ashamed of Rovers' conduct before and since his sale.ย
You'll eat shit and like it...

Pay for it even.

Pickering is a good pro but a squad player at best. If you can get a half decent fee, he's worth moving on IMO.ย

Can't read the thing but headline suggests Beradji deal not totally dead.ย

Something doesn't add up with McLoughlin... Hull are under an embargo so need to keep every player they can because they can't replace them.ย

Depends how you look at it I supposeย
for me the worst owners in football are the ones who donโt pay their players thatโs the nail in the coffin for me
obviously the longevity of complete incompetence from our lot is likely to win that debate but just comparing the two as of now chansiri hands down worse in his stint ยฃ72 for home shirt lol mentalย
Really? That's worse than ignoring and asset stripping a club over a 15 year period? Never visiting and leaving the stadium to rot. These people are the most vile owners football has ever seen.ย
ย
These mercenaries will simply get moves to other clubs for big money, they'll be fine... Think about the fans who get fucked over and the businesses that suffer in the surrounding area.ย
ย
Some weird sentimentality on here these day for grown blokes who don't give a shit about us.ย

Koko Saito still not got a move. Was last linked with Portsmouth. I'd love that one but 0 chance of it happening...

I think Hedges at full back is a good option if he can stay fit. He's quick, and offers good protection defensively. Whilst offers little in final 3rd so, makes a lot of sense to me.ย

Its amazing how many greedy, selfish and disloyal players we've had in recent years!
They're all mercenaries. Look at Joao Pedro yesterday pointing to his Chelsea badge ๐. Brittain was about to sign, got a bigger offer now is forcing a move... The lack of perspective from football fans on this subject is quite shocking.ย

Your first two sentences could be correct but why you have to have a veiled dig about people buying season tickets is a low blow.
Christ, I thought folk would have enough about them to know this is a dig at the club for asset stripping us whilst expecting us to part with our money every season.
ย
Quite a few folk on here are seemingly going soft and a bit touchy as they get older ๐

Before the window is done... Trav will be at Derby and Tronstad will leave.ย
ย
Reinvested... It will be dressed up as 2 million but will probably be less.ย
ย
Roll up and buy your season tickets folks. We're spending money.ย

I don't take offence at what you call Eustace per se, but why would you take any offence in the first place about him coming in for our better players if we're not willing to tie them down?
I'm not offended, as someone else said, he's just doing his job... For a rival club, who wants to take our better players...
ย
Let me ask you something... Does it sound unrealistic that he heard that Brittain, who we almost (apparently) had tied down to a new contract was about to sign it... Chucks in a bid to unsettle him? Why shouldn't I and others, as Rovers fans be annoyed at that? It surely isn't hard to understand.ย

Anyway, that's enough BRFCS for today.ย

I donโt disagree with much of what you say, ย but most people in most walks of life will take the opportunities of a better job, whether thatโs for money, working conditions or future prospects. Randomly calling someone who did a good job for us a โfat prickโ does you no favours.
Thanks for the advice, I'll watch my mouth in future. I hope I didn't offend anyone, especially John Eustace, I know how folk can be a bit overly sensitive these days.ย

Iโm not upset. You are , showed by calling Eustace a fat prick.ย
We didnโt offer Baath and Weimann a contract until the season had ended. We donโt have to sell Brittain. ย Eustace isnโt ravaging us, because if he doesnโt sign them someone else will as they are free or we are willing sellers.
Now I thought maybe youโre annoyed at the current situation, and arenโt one of those childish snake carriers from earlier in the season. ย But no, you were.
.Hisssss
First. I wasn't at Derby but whatever. He was a snake about how he left the club, he lied about being at Derby the week before the Wolves game. Do I blame him for leaving, no.ย
ย
Second. I didn't want Weimann anyway.ย
ย
Third. If you think he doesn't want all of Brittain, Trav, Tronstad then you're naive. If he could sign them all, he would and has probably already tried. He's just doing his job of course, doesn't mean I have to like him for it.ย
ย
Last. I'm annoyed at it all, the club is a circus. I come on here to vent my frustrations about it all but it's nice to know their are some fans on here trying to dictate how others should be frustrated. It's almost as if you care deeply about the feelings of some wealthy former manager that you don't know personally who has no previous history with the club... Which I find odd, or childish as you say. To me, they're all mercenaries, the days of getting some bloke's name on the back of my shirt are long gone. I have no affection for any of them, except for the odd player who comes through the academy.ย
ย
Anyhow, you've said your bit and I've said mine. Enjoy the weather and have a pleasant weekend ๐๐ป

Eustace told us all he wanted his senior players to get new contracts but the club but weโre refusing to discuss. Thatโs one of the reasons why he left as there was no forward planning.
But you stick with your bitted jilted-ex persona and get those rubber snakes ready for next year. Hisssssss. Hisssssss.
Hang on, you think I don't know all of that?ย
Regardless of who the owners are, this is MY club and anyone who leaves and wants to ravage it to make it even shitter to support my club can get to fuck.ย
Getting upset about fellow fans getting pissed off about a former manager coming in a taking our players is a bit of a weird take but crack on ๐๐ป

A few folk gloating about us "spending money" need to wind their neck in and face the reality of how this club is run FFS.

I've got nothing against the club trying to unearth some gems from more obscure sources, I think it's potentially a good strategy and if a few come off then those involved deserve credit. The only thing that annoys me is the misleading of the transfer fee's.ย
ย
Seeing as we're not signing another CB, I'd say this will probably be the final perm signing of the window, any others will be young prem loans I think.ย
