  1. Just a thought. At this stage of the season, with a handful of games to go and still with a shout to qualify for playoff. While formation and lineups still plays an important role, its the winning mentality now that will drive us to the finishing line. Players not willing to give up, bodies aching but push themselves once more for a tackle, for a shot, for a header, win the ball back, attack opponent's goal again and again. The 2nd half of Hudds was one of the best halves from Rovers personally. I think this week in training, its really drilling that strong winning mindset into the players, it's now or never.

He wasn't outmuscled, he just didn't seem to have the match fitness to play more than one match a week. I'm surprised he hasn't had more games.

Yea, same sentiments. Fitness seems to be the issue. He doesn't seem to be able to last even 90 mins. The only game which he completes 90 minutes is against Blackpool.

  3. How is the team we beat today second in the league? looks bang average, nothing special about this team. Choked on my coffee when they brought on Sharp (they are seriously desperate), we should have brought on Shearer.

All we need a plan and and a team who's willing to fight for one another to beat this lot. Overrated bunch. Glad to send them packing.

I ended up using a Hungarian VPN to see the game even though I've paid £145 for the privilege to watch the games in France

Same here. Had to resort to finding online steams to watch Rovers even though i paid for the RoversTV by supporting the club. Seriously considering to buy game pass next season instead.

  5. Saw the highlights. JRC and Travis seems to be really driving the attack from midfield, that's good to see!

And Gally wow, his first touch pass to Dolan was brilliant. Need to be some player to have the vision to spot Doaln. Obviously he was disappointed and slumped to ground when Dolan didnt trouble the keeper from that pass.

  6. Since it's getting nowhere. So i decided to dream abit positively – what if our appeal is successful by 1 March.

    1 March
    - officially on loan with us.

By 15 March (misses Sheff Utd and Stoke's games)
    - lacking match fitness, learning how we play during first team training, probably playing some U21 games during this period.

    By 30 March
    – Somewhat fitter, on bench for both Reading and Burnley's games.

    1 April onwards
    – Fully match fit and ready. He will have 8 full league games and also a few playoff games if we made it into Top 6.

  7. Overall, a draw is what we deserved, minimum at least. Really pleased with the effort we put in. Putting pressure on their defence. While our attacking play still has much to work on, the performance is easily one of the better ones in recent months. can't fault the players for the effort.

Pears - a wall, caught everything thrown at him. He has form and confidence. Happy with him being our no.1 at the moment. The goal conceded probably caught him by surprise and also had his view blocked in a congested penalty box.

Carter - strong, athletic and also very confident. Like him alot. Probably MOTM.

Sorba - Great he took a shot really early in the game. Shown what's he can do and the rest of the midfielders should do too, take a shot when there's an opportunity. Strange he came off when Gally was brought on. Probably tired.

Dack - back to his best, trying to create, link up play and of course good composure for his goal. Very happy for him.

Travis - love/hate with his performance. did win quite a few tackles, busy trying make his mark in midfield. But often when he is in an attacking position, he doesnt seem to be able to pass the ball quick enough and wasted possession.

JRC - Dack's goal came from his neat move with Thomas and his shot. Although almost gave a goal away. But overall performance is good. Probably just ran ragged by Sarr towards the end. Can tell he's a very much improved player since the start of the year.

Dolan - doesnt lose the ball as much now with his fancy stepovers, its a tough role to play but he's definitely has more energy and threat than Vale.

The rest probably not much to mentioned about.. Diaz is still poor but did try to help out Pickering at times in defence.

Ideally nice to get 3 points. One point is not a bad result.

  8. Overall i think Brittain is a better RB than JRC. But really impressed with JRC helping out our RB issues so far. He should keep his spot until he drops form and also wait for Brittain to be fully fit.

The problem with new players like Brittain and Szmodics, is they play a few games, then they get injured. It's so hard to judge them.

  9. We can't even score against Wigan. And no one in the team except Dack can score. I've given up on Ben, not our player in a few months time. Just hoping he has some pride and dignity in him to do his best for the club that has helped him past few years. If we are still going play tippy-tappy football at the back, i expect us to concede a few, probably from a Wharton mis-pass.

I dont know, im just not hopeful.

  10. It's a shame. We should be celebrating the closure of the transfer windows with a couple of promising loans, got in a striker who can put ball into the net, overall strengthen the team and make us capable of retaining top 6 before we head to the playoff at the end of the season.

But now we have the same group of players, no improvement, and a dark cloud hanging over our Ewood management. This is so-Blackburn Rovers in the Venkys era.
