Nothing against Gary Mawson but if Taylor was playing a form player last night he could have been going home. Taylor had an average of 89 in that match, certainly no where near what is needed to get through this tournament.
Yeah he would've been annihilated by anyone in half decent form.
Terrible standard last night for those two.
I woulda beaten Mawson last night!

Whitlock was very good last night.
Fair play to Osbourne, he showed a lot of grit just to win the set he did. Shame he couldn't force it to go all the way. Unfortunate to lose players as good as that in the 1st round.
-
Spare a passing thought for Gloucester Football Club - to demonstrate just how badly the area is affected. That goalpost is 10foot tall. Thats the entire ground floor of a house!
I used to stand just behind that goal a few years ago.
I'll take me snorkel next time i'm watching the Tiger Army

Congrats to James Wade on his win over Terry Jenkins in the darts Grand Prix final, Jenkins was slow to start though and you cant gift Wade a 3 set lead although Jenkins did well to try and get back into it.
Wade is a nice bloke I met him and played against him earlier this year in Preston, he has to be up there for the world championship in December.
Noooo!! What are you saying. James Wade is a knob. A more ignorant and arrogant jumped up little sh1t you've never met. This was quite a few years ago now mind..... i imagine he's been brought down a peg or 7 now that he's there with the big boys.
Terry Jenkins on the other hand, cracking bloke. Not a bad word to say about anyone and a top top player to boot!
Sorry to hear about Priestly. Hadn't heard this news. Good luck Dennis

Apparently the LET is reporting today morning's edition that Rovers had a bid accepted last night and Dunn will have a medical and contract talks today.
This is true.
Official text just confirmed .......... blah blah blah, what they just said
EDIT: Damn you fast typers!!

Quote Revidge
"I disagree with that as well. You only had to see the look on the face of that young 19 year old Edgar who sored the second for Newcastle against Man Ure to see that."
Umm, Edgar certanly isn't a local lad!!
Newcastle couldn't be further away from Canada...........

Just where is Jeffers? Am I alone in a suspicion that his absence is not totally injury related as was weakly reported a few matches ago? It's a sure sign something is amiss when even the LT goes quiet and never mentions his injury or a return date etc.
According to the text i just got with the update for the Boro game, Brad is ok despite the dead leg, and "Jeffers remains on the sidelines with torn groin."
So that clears that one up i suppose!
-
I thought Ooijer did ok in the couple of games he had as skipper.
Seemed to me that the added responsibility brought the best out of him.... like he felt he was obliged to lead by example........ which, of course, you should!!
Anyone agree??
-
yes but do you know what it means a tatoo has got to mean something to you
LOL!!
As if a true Rovers fan wouldn't know what it meant!!
Ricky - I was thinking of the same thing but only on my upper arm, as i haven't got any other tats and don't know how much its going to hurt
-
Well i'm coming up for the first time in ages. Arsenal last season was the last time i think
I'm bringng 2 others up with me. Hopefully others are doing the same and dragging in some new recruits
I reckon we'll have 16k on Ewood come Thursday night. Just cant argue with £15 tickets!!
4-1 Rovers. Not predicting any scorers but Benni will get at least one!!
-
The roberts injury will give us a chance to see if Nonda is up to it. Is there any news on the Jeffers appeal yet??
The injury to Nelsen is a huge blow. Guess thats why we got Henchoz in as Cover.
Yes there is Ricky.
Jeffers red has been overturned, so he's available for selection v City

Not condoning Gray's actions (if true) but there was only one criminal offence committed, by the sounds of it.
Again not defending Gray as you don't say such things in the presence of a lady.
Lady!!! Ha Ha Good one DanLad

FSP has gone abroad now. Recreativo Hulvargo or something.
Ozziejones is right - Pongolle went to Recreativo Huelva yesterday.
I'd prefer Warnock as part of the deal anyway if the rumour turns out to be true!
-
They think Djibril's a doubt for the world cup now........
Ouch!!

I don't know what you are getting so shirty about NR; the point I was trying to make is that everyone is fully entitled to their opinion on this MB, and however much anyone else may disagree with it they are NOT entitled to ridicule or abuse the person who made the original post. By all means disagree with them, but don't get agressive or personal about it. OK? And by the way, my post was NOT aimed at you or indeed at any individual; if it had been, I would have addressed them. If you care to look back over the last few posts before mine you will see that various people are posting different opinions on things and in several cases they are getting ridiculed or abused by a variety of people.
Shirty?!?!? Christ!! I'm only havin a laugh Fife.
gazsimm gave his opinion, i replied with one of my own. I didn't ridicule him. I cracked a joke, somewhat tongue in cheek(hang on a minute, i think i hear the whoosh now as thats flown over your head ;-) ), and now i'm getting a right old flaming for it!
I agree mate, everyones entitled to their opinion without the fear of being lambasted for it, but lets put things in perspective and realise when someone is clearly having a laugh rather then being rude or just plain nasty.
Anyway, who made you God......... oh sorry, i mean Mod?!
-
Yep, i got no problem with that shout mate.
If you wanna rest Mickey G, then maybe Gresko should get a game. At least he doesnt have the pace of an arthiritic diplodocus and the turning circle of the QE2.
Just can't stand to see Matteo's name anywhere near the team sheet.
Scares the ###### out of me frankly!!
EDIT; .... and Fife, that is my opinion!! Whats the problem with that?

I think its a bit of a trick question because it was when he went to Barcelona.
Still technically Britains first 2 million player..... i think
PS It was 1986!! Pallister was signed in 1989 apparently.
-
Here's a few questions:
Who was Britain's first £2 million pound player? - Mark Hughes
Which team in the British first class leagues has the longest name? - Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Which team is closest to the River Mersey? Yep, definitely Stockport
-
-
Well.......... whether you like it or not, this is now the definite date and time, just confirmed by Rovers!!
Edit: Oh, and it was at the request of the Premier League by the way (allegedly)
-
Even more important will we finallly see a responce from the Blackburn public and a decent gate??.........so many questions!!
Rovers 1 Arsenal 1
Well its not gonna be a sell out, i can tell you that much.
Just rang up to book 5 tickets but the woman on the phone wouldn't tell me how many we'd sold so far but there's plenty left. Only limited in BB end though, so thats promising
Come on Rovers
-
What the (Please don't use that word again) is going on?!?!?!?!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha :-) :-)
-
Following yesterdays board meeting, Rovers have agreed to Jansens request to terminate his contract.
Good luck Matty!!!

Fair play to Anderson! Deserved it and glad he won it after letting himself down a bit in the World final.
Lewis did what Anderson has been guilty of in the past and bottled it a little in the final.
A good start from Anderson, and the relentless heavy scoring effectively put Lewis away early. At 6-1 you could clearly see Lewis had given up and just wanted to get off stage!
Good final but a shame Lewis didn't dig in and put up a bit more of a fight.
