  1. From what I've read, it wouldn't be a far stretch for me to deduct he is not a good footballer and has a stinking attitude as well.

A lot of us are working off him being g a good player with a bad attitude. By the sounds of it he's a bad player with a bad attitude.

If Mowbray thinks differently then let's just see what happens..

He's a rovers player, hope he turns into a world beater.

    Good luck to the lad.

Those saying if the player is a flop then Venky's may turn the tap off well what happens if we don't spend it? Venky's may turn the tap off thinking we don't need it.

What happens if the Bereton does not move and gets in to the Forest team does well then goes for £20million. Will the doom mongers then turn and say say why did we not pay the bargain of £8 million.

All transfers are a gamble that may or may not come off.

We have to be cautious of course but it nice to see us even talking about such vaules being talked about again.

The way Dack has started the season the £750,000 we gambled on a one season wonder at Gillingham looks like it could repay 10 times over like the the money we gambled on Davies cost us £3 million.

Proven goal scorers who we could get a return on are only interested in premier league. All the multi million pound players I dare say will be a calculated gamble or are players there will be little return on.

My sentiments exactly, get it spent, Mowbrays already alluded to the fact it might not be there in the next window- he said something like,  'If we're doing well in Jan there might be the opportunity to spend then..'

Maddison, Chapman, a dynamic centre mid, Bauer and Brereton would do me.

I'd be going balls out whilst the cash is available,

  3. I think it's been a decent window, tied down loads of players, brought in a hot prospect from City and Armstrong FOR A TRANSFER FEE, I never thought I'd witness us spend money ever again. We've still got the loan window, bring in some pace, Chapman with a view to buy would be good and pretty cheap you'd imagine given his contract situation.. A bit of relief for Danny Graham and possibly another centre half from the fringes of a Premiership side and we're laughing.. Think we've got a pretty decent side, certainly should have enough about us to finish midtable, if not the play-offs... We're organised and motivated- a lot of sides in the championship that have been here for years aren't..

  4. I don't get why people are saying we don't have any money to spend when Mowbrays literally come out and said the opposite whilst at the same time bidding £970,000 for a player from the MLS- I'd imagine they'd start low then negotiate from there, I bet he's thinking he can snaffle him for 1.5 million with add-ons.

  5. If TM has 3-5 million to spend I imagine he's trying to make it go as far as possible- he needs to strengthen in multiple areas as people have pointed out,  it would be a bit foolish to blow it all on one or two players..

Armstrong- Loan with an agreement to buy, give them a 20% sell on fee

Chapman- I'd try and buy him, 1 million with add ons and a sell on fee

Get them cheap but give their respective teams the potential to make big money in the future should/when they come good..

Both vital for me, bring pace and energy, we already know they fit in well, they'd be my priority.

I'd then be looking for a few more loan signings, maybe a bit of experience, another striker.

  6. Sorry, that's a typo- was supposed to say,  "We were" - as in collectively as an 11.. Having 2 Big lumps at the back didn't make too much difference.  Saying that, we sold both of them and got relegated.. Duffy has gone onto bigger and better things and Hanley has been playing a level above us..  You're probably right,  we could do with an ugly centre half..

  7. Gk: Raya

    DL: Bell

    DC: Mulgrew

    DC: Lenihan

    DR:

CM: Smallwood- wouldn't mind an upgrade

    CM: Dack

    CM:

    ST: Armstrong

    ST:

    ST:

I'd keep Graham but I think he's on his last legs. Could do with a big mobile striker for Armstrong to play off (assuming we get Armstromg)

I'd like to see us sign:

    Carey

    Sonny Bradley

    Sam Gallagher

A real destroyer in the cm

    Payne

    Armstrong

    A right back
