TM told us all that this summer we were going to kick on. Early August should tell us whether we have or not.

I've only been gone a few hours and you're off again with yer ITK wannabe gubbins.
Pray tell how you 'know for a fact he's regarded highly' at Everton?
Does it matter?

Apart from the times where he repeatedly said that promotion is the aim

Listening to Mowbray; it's clear that it's the buying, polishing and then selling players for a profit that's the focus and priority and not building a team for promotion.
If promotion came as a consequence then I feel they'd see that as a bonus.
I don't get any feeling whatsoever that Mowbray's going to return from India with a war chest and promotion being the primary aim.

Given the horrendous difficulties parking around Ewood,we should have more transport options for fans than just about any other club. Rovers should be much more proactive than we are.
Using Chorley as an example: Rovers could arrange a bus starting at a pub in the centre of town with pick ups and drop offs at other pubs en route (eg Dressers Arms, Hoghton Arms etc). The point is Rovers need to do something rather than just shrugging their shoulders.

The independent buses from pubs in Darwen illustrate the point in question. I know for a fact that if the facility wasn’t there, a number of people wouldn’t bother going to Ewood. It would be worthwhile trialling something similar from Chorley, Clitheroe, Accrington etc to see how it went.

Anybody know what debilitating injuries Gladwin has had that will still take until January 2020 to recover from?

To be fair to Villa. Historically and in the present day, a bigger club than Leeds any way you measure it.
Yet, they get nowhere near the same media love in.
You're right there Matty: what is it with Leeds and Sky in particular?

When we are told late in the summer that we were close to signing x y or z but couldn't quite stretch to the wages things like this come into play.
4k pwk each ? You're having a giraffe !!!!
I know, probably but do the maths of multiples of £319 and insert your own salary figures.
I'm sure you get my drift.

Gladwin has spent two years injured and hasn’t ever stood out at League 1 level previously.
Can’t even begin to comprehend that one. Bet he thinks Christmas has come early.
That is not a retained list of a club looking at whole scale improvement of the squad.
Absolutely.
Another way of looking at it with guesstimates attached: If Leuts, Conway and Gladwin are all on £4k a week, it will take 2,000 season tickets bought for The Riverside to cover their cost.
Get rid, save the cost and let us in for nowt!

Jesus: Leutwiler, Gladwin and Conway?
Clear the decks and get shut if we have any ambition.
Doesn't bode well IMV.

Newly promoted Bury in court today facing a winding up petition. Their players or staff haven't been paid for 2 months either.
Bit lower profile, so no help or publicity surrounding their plight.
Football stinks!

Surely we shouldn't be contemplating retaining any players on the basis of an occasional 10/15 minute cameo from the bench? (Mulgrew/Conway)

Whilst Wanderers sad situation gets all the publicity, the fact that Bury are in a similar situation seems to go relatively unnoticed.
They've just gained promotion to League 1 but their players and staff haven't been paid for 2 months either. They also face a HMRC winding up petition on 15th May.
Seems shit owners are the scourge of Lancashires clubs, particularly when you add them to the Oystons.
Sad state of affairs.

You’d have thought Mowbray would have already made his mind up who wasn’t going to feature next season and would take a look at some of the youngsters between now and the end of the season.
The fact that he hasn’t suggests to me that he’s unlikely to be as ruthless as we’d hoped.
Disappointing but hardly a surprise and doesn’t bode well for next season in my view.

Now that is long overdue and would just cap the season of !
Same team line up as last Tuesday night but change Conway for Chapman.
Be good to send The Trotters down, they’d no sympathy for us.

Are you sure Travis didn’t kick off regarding having to pay for 13 tickets for the friendly against Liverpool and therefore queried his pitch until Christmas?
