THose massive scores almost certainly came against teams that are not being managed anymore. A team has to finish on the bottom of the bottom division (VI in oceania) before it is assigned to a new person so the only way to actually quit is to abandon your team and they will eventually bottom out.

But hey congrats anyway....always good to build team confidence .

You can check if the team is being actively managed by clicking on the "More details about owner" link on the clubs webpage and then clicking on the "5 latest logins" link. If they haven't logged in in ages chances are the team is abandoned.

Can you believe that i won my first game beating the second from top team 2-0. I was stoked out of all proportion. I have landed a solid 21 year old keeper who i reckon i can sell for a fair bit more than he's worth. I need a decent centre back though.

Can someone confirm for me that the players you pull out of the youth squad are selected by random chance. That is, they do not exist anywhere else in the game until you pull them out and how good they are depends on how much money you have put into your youth squad. Just find it a little confusing.

Hey american. Sure ill challenge you for a friendly as soon as the deadline has passed (couple of hours). I sincerely doubt i will be much of a challenge though as I only just started and inherited a bunch of muppets. Most are below 25yo though so i shouldn't complain. I have decided to train defenders (just to be different) and have started amassing my trainees. How much cash should i leave in my account after the first week and how much cash will i make on a week by week basis?

Just joshing. I actually met some stunners when i was back-packing in the north-west. Unfortunately i didn't pick-up hence the above sentiment

Poor Alan Smith. Now he can throw a bottle or two into the stands for a different team. He's a spoiled player with hardly any professionalism in him. The fact that he cried at full time at the game doesn't touch any heart strings with me. I feel more for Wolves and Leicester going down than for Leeds.

But that being said, Let the rape and pillage of the Leeds squad begin!

No offence mate but if you had ever gone through a relegation yourself you would realize what a depressing and debilitating process it is. I wouldn't wish it on any club and i certainly wouldn't act so cavalier about Leeds relegation just because you may have some half-arsed grudge against the club.

Don't forget it wasn't that long ago that Rovers were relegated.

Can you get an interview with Gazza? I know he's not a rovers player but it would be very amusing

Actually The World Game, a football show in Australia, recently featured an interview with Gazza after he had just returned from the drug rehab clinic. It turns out that the substance he was addicted to this time was....Red Bull! I kid you not Gazza had to get treatment to break his Red Bull addiction. Even Gazza sounded embarassed by having such a pansy addiction. Most obvious quote of the interview: "well it turns out i have an addictive personality". Sky is blue too.

If this goes through it's another fantastic, imaginative signing for Bolton. Whether he turns out to be any good or not, the signing will pay for itself through increased season ticket sales, merchandise sales, and the amount of media interest and publicity it will generate.

Expect to see a lot of Bolton on Sky next season - don't expect to see much of us.

Sidenote: This is my 100th post at the rate of 0.20 posts per day.  At this rate it will take me 12.3 years to reach 1000 posts.  By that stage I will be 35 which may well be old enough to have acquired the world-weariness that inspired CheshireBlue's 1000th post (found here)  :'>
