  1. BAD NEWS - anterior cruciate rupture usually means surgical repair - premiership players usually go off to the states to see Richard Steadman for their surgery - it is the same injury as Michael Owen, 6-9 months is a very optimistic timescale for recovery.

Surely this means dipping into the market this Jan - and not just for Dunny.

  2. An open post to Mr Hughes, our esteemed manager.

Dear Mr Hughes, I appreciate that your toe nail clippings know more about football than I do but it really is time to look at our friend Moulting Gammy Ploderson. Perhaps because he hails from Tromso and it is currently continually pitch black there but what other excuse is there for his performance today - throw ins to the players in black - cunning camoflauge - perhaps it looks like blue / white in the land of the continual darkness. His crosses were expertly delivered to the near post which was expertly marked by at least 2 Fulham players, he has no pace or control, he is unable to beat an egg let alone a football player and his touch in front of goal was awesome in it's ineptitude. He needs to be dropped ( injured rib or not ) ASAP and needs to discover the delights of playing in Morecambe on wet / cold Tuesdays for a while.

    Rant over

Delighted with the 3 points - bring on Charlton who seem to be in terminal decline.

  3. Don't be fooled by the score - at HT we should have been at least 2 nil down - saved by Brad / Oijer / Zurab on several occasions. Sav out for a month according to match report on the official site which is more bad news, Gray was awful and I am afraid I am petrified when the Axe comes on; his distribution and reading of the game was poor.

Second half well ok,the last 15 minutes was breathtaking, an exquisite goal from Tugay and shock horror a penalty and then a tap in for Benni. Tugay was peerless tonight and I was pleased to see Franny grab hold of the ball for the penalty - no one else was going to take it! Gally struck a firm shot which was spilled by the keeper and Benni prodded home.

Shame on you if you were local and choose not to go - you missed a great european night.

Brad and Tugay were outstanding tonight but we were flattered by the score but who cares - we are top of the group, bring on the Villans.

  4. I can't decide on the result West Ham in the doldrums, no premiership goal for a light year, Tevez and Ashton both crocked, Pardew drowning slowly and the Spirites beat them.

Agaisnt that Wham are our bogey away team and I recall no home win all season when they went down until the charitible organisation known as Rovers rolled into town - therest is history.

Off the fence then - Sparky must motivate them for this game 0 - 3 to the blues and a brown envelope for Pardew with a P45 inside.

  5. Surely moaninho will significantly rotate his squad - Champions league is his priority, I am sure he was bleating last week about too many games for his tired rent boys. Add in an early am return to the smoke and playing the bully boys, I expect to see a very different Chelsea team from the weekend.

Put out a side from that reported squad and Rovers to win 2 - 1 with no credit to Rovers from the southern journos as usual.
