Not much in the first half. Second half we totally dominated Pompey, we had all of the possension.
Match Ratings
Friedel - 7 - Had nothing to do
Neill - 7 - A solid performance
Matteo - 8 - Looked solid and centreback seems his prefered postion.
Short - 7 - Was doing okay, until he streched for a challenge and got injured.
Gray - 7 - Another reliable performance from Mickey
Emerton - 7 - Had a good game in the second half just wish he'd get involved more in the game, he seems to drift in and out of the game a lot.
Flitty - 8 - Sat infront of the defence did a good job
Bazza - 9 - Superb performance, some brilliant passes and started lots of attacks from the middle.
Pedersen - 6 - Sorry but he looked poor today, couldn't take the ball past one pompey defender
Stead - 6 - Looked low on confidence, wasn't really in the game
Dickov - 8 - worked his socks of as normal, good all-round game
SUBS
Amo - 8 - A solid game COULD HAVE (like you could have paid more attention in school) scored on a couple of occasions.
Jansen - 7 - Came on and scored the all important goal, played on left-side of midfield looked comfortable there.
Bothroyd - 8 - Won loads of free-kicks late on. Quick and good in he air, looks promosing.
Overall we deserved 3 points, and it's great to see Matty on the scoresheet hopefully we can build on this and go on some sort of run.

-

-
Another day passes and we are still none the wiser
-
Managers, and clubs they've managed
Strachan - Coventry & Southmapton (got them to cup final)
Dowie - Oldham & Crystal Palace (won promotion)
Hughes - Wales (play-off, euro 2004)
Robson - Middlesborough & Bradford
Moyes - Preston & Everton (finished 6th, season 02/03)
-
I'd be happy with eiter Hughes, Strachan, Dowie or Moyes. All of these are good managers who i believe could do i good job at Rovers. My money's on strachan at the moment
-
It doesn't matter if he's got good stanmia levels if he's totally sh1te at playing football it's self, i'm not saying he is just commenting that's all

Matteo is poor, poor at heading when the ball is played anyway other than straight and long and he gets turned so easily it is untrue, turned inside out by a centre-half yesterday!
Not to mention the 2 penatlies that never where he gave away
-

"BBC Sport believes that Levein's name has been discussed in the Blackburn boardroom and could feature in a shortlist still to be drawn up"
BBC say the shortlist hasn't even been made up yet
-
his tackles are late and he's as clumsy as a cow walking on ice.
LOL
Quote of the Week
-
We've got a fairly decent squad but without Ferguson & Dickov we'd be nothing, it's key we keep them 2 fit if we want to do well this season.
-
Lets just hope we get a good new manager in and QUICK
-
bolton 2-1 manyoo! (no doubt they'l score in the 105min )
We didn't stand much of a chance today, doesn't make it any better to lose though.
Win against pompey or bournemouth to kick off our season
United have equalized in last minute, AGAIN
-
Douglas is better then Flitcroft IMO. MGP as gone of apperantley he's injured and dougie is on. Bring on TUGAY !!!
-
Sounds like the barcodes are all over us
-
Just listened to Soccer Saturday - Frank McLintock and George Best saying the Rovers job is not a good job. Thanks fellas! Jeff the legend then mentioned that lots of money is piling onto Dowie. And I'd bet 20 quid on Hughes. Typical - I think I've jinxed Sparky
Yep just seen it what a bunck of w**kers
-
Just been watching sky sports soccer saturday show and they all say banker home win and that the Rovers job is a bad job to take and that the fans are getting on the backs of the players.
What does George Best know, the drunken waster
-
It looked like it was gonna be O Leary or Venables last weekend for the Newcastle job going off what the bookies said
Indeed just cause such a manager is favourite it can count for nothing at the end of the day
-
I Hope he is watching and i hope he can see what sort of team he's left behind as we smash the Geordies around the park for six
-
Personally i'd love to see Gordon Strachan appionted but it's looking like Dowie or Hughes (well going off the what the bookies say)
-
Be quiet everyone
