The Gallagher transfer or lack of it has dragged on to long for me. Mowbray always states he has targets a b and c. Well were are we uptown now x. The signings so far for me have been ok. Downing past his best possibly but a free so could help our younger players crossing ability. Johnsons should do ok. With the other freebies likely to go into the under 23s squad. Crying out for defensive reinforcements and another solid keeper. Times ticking to the start of

agree re Gallagher if its as expensive as people seem to be suggesting maybe we need to move on ( would be a shame mind )

Haha nothing from me I’m afraid. Although been told the quieter the club are the closer they are to a deal as they tighten leaks and press interference to avoid any vultures scuppering deals last minute, so they have been quiet so potentially something brewing. I know that lieutweiler won’t be starting against Charlton, I’m pretty sure of that

    Any more progress on Gallagher

Mowbray likes him, Gallagher willing to come here but finances still not adding up. Wouldn’t be surprised if we missed out. Jealous of Brentford to be honest, never thought I’d be saying that.

Cheers i'd be personally really disappointed if we missed out on him think he has bags more potential than Brereton and he would be a good potential replacement for Graham, I think this window is potentially turning disastrous

Not struggling for funds as such, trying to play the market to allow him to get the players he really wants in. Would be struggling to get his A list, keeper, defender and striker in currently with squad actually fairly bloated in certain positions - midfield.

Still confident Gallagher will get done or are we likely to miss out?

I think many are getting frustrated that we have signed loads of midfielders (which numerically, aren’t a priority), when we have areas of the team which are a much bigger priority, that need to be strengthened, but haven’t been yet.

I can understand, I really can! But there’s obviously still time to rectify it like, I just hope the defenders really are coming....(and a goalkeeper and a striker).

I don't think they coming ( defenders ) I think we'll get Gallagher a keeper ( probably a loan ) re sign Rodwell as defensive cover defence has been Mowbrays managerial blind spot throughout his career

Maybe I’m daft but I’m feeling positive about it all. Feel things are about to take shape.

For me Raya out and Darlow In leaves us stronger in the goalkeeping department (if £3m really was a crazily low price for Raya then there’d would be a queue to take him)

I like Rodwell but in terms of impact he wasn’t going to play central midfield and today we signed a midfielder that would likely have been first choice in there any season of the last 6-7. Just turned 32 so not over the hill.

Downing May be older than Conway but he’s a better player.

Gallagher looked brilliant in flashes when he was here and would be a good option if not a massively exciting signing.

I would look to shift out Smallwood and Nuttall and we are still a starting centre half short.

I May be way off but for whatever reason I feel positive about the way this window will go

totally agree with this feel Darlow is good keeper, Gally has bags of potential

Magloire? He cant head a ball, he is nowhere near ready. Williams ended the season playing well although we certainly need one or two to dislodge him going forward.

Armstrong ended the season well playing on his better side, wide right, and Davenport would be in there for Downing who isnt a central midfielder, not in a 2 like that.

Agree with the majority of this, surely if any CB is ready to step up its Wharton he was decent for Bury last season. He would seem to be a more logical choice, we have a real dearth of quality at the back, I fear TM will try and muddle through without addressing it sufficiently.

It's true that Mowbray has no honour in the job? Well, he says differently. Always speaks very highly of the club.

Along with the "hes a lier" stuff, this is another nasty angle to take on things.

    I just don't get it

He does that at every club I'd rather he was more ruthless and clinical being honourable means nothing if results do not follow. Cannot help thinking he benefits from following on from the Coyle debacle

  9. Looking at the squad cannot help thinking we need to shift on some of the dead wood like Smallwood, Mulgrew, Williams etc before we get anything coming on. I still find the Downing signing baffling as the squad has got plenty of experience already and I am not sure he is a step up in quality. My suspicion is Mowbray has small budget this summer and anything over a million is going back to Pune to be authorised.

  10. I'll be donating when I get home tonight. Good luck I honestly cannot believe what's happening at Gigg Lane if people thought Venkys were a shambles the new guy at Bury is something else.

I would urge fellow rovers fans to take a few minutes to read up on whats happening to Bury its absolutely frightening and could easily be us if Venkys walk away
