I will always want Mowbray gone. Results will not change my opinion of him.
So sat in the playoffs and you still want the manager gone? Madness

12.5k ish home fans.
Doesn't sound a lot - well it isn't a lot but it's still about 4 thousand buying tickets after taking off ST holders. So it's quite a jump on last nights turnout.
percentage wise yes but still disappointing that it is only 12.5, hopefully it will somehow get up to 15k, but pigs can fly

Absolutely awful

Just to say, I thought our fans were fantastic on Sat. Might not have been more than 1200 but it was all you could hear!

I thought someone posted a table on here without Venky's input which tended to suggest that once their £20 m p.a. contribution was taken into account we were actually about 4th in terms of overall finance.
Happy to be proved wrong if that's incorrect.
I mean, this issue is probably quite separate and shows the lack of revenue for the club which I think everyone agrees is a huge issue

You think all the free transfers he made cost nothing? The loans etc.
Ayala came here within our wage structure without a significant signing on fee?Similar with Holtby etc
See post above 🙂

And all the other signings? The fact prior to armstrong leaving he had sold one first team player that got a fee of above a million?
Who pays our big wagebill as our income doesnt cover it?
11 players were added to our wagebill last summer
I am not saying that wages are not part of the backing but when you look at the stats our wage bill is 11th to 14th in the champ over the last few years. Please correct me if I am wrong!
The club of course pays the wage bill and then we are losing 20 mil a year (give or take a few quid), which is then covered by the owners.

Why wouldn't you?
Pretty sure someone posted something on here where we were 14th for net spend without the sale of Armstrong, so I would say no.

By the end of the season roughly £100 m of the owners money on top of whatever income the Club has generated off it's own batt!
Well, the owners won't get any money from the club as there is no surplus of cash or profit. The loss of cash each has nothing to do with Mowbray and has been a problem long before Venky's. The fact is, revenue is down substantially because we are not in the Prem anymore and the Championship is a massive bubble waiting to burst with very few clubs even turning a profit.

Of course, we signed BBD and Gallagher on free transfers, didn’t we?
I would not exactly call 10/12 million quid of signings three/ four years ago a backing, would you?

Given the backing he's had, I think it would have been impossible for virtually anyone else not to!
What backing?

I'm afraid that's where we differ.
Given the backing he's had I think he's done an appalling job overall.
Not sure how you work that out and appalling is a very strong statement...but in reality do we think someone else could have done a better job?

Hate to be in the "let's see where we are by Christmas" brigade but let's see where we are by then, that's a fairly selective view imo following a win and even then we're only 6 points off 20th.
But only one point off the playoffs and 33.3% loss rate ;).
I understand frustrations but let us be honest, Mowbray has done a decent job, ok end of last year was not great and not a decent transfer window but I think he is doing the best that he can and I do not think anyone else will come in and do better. I think the club needs to get contracts settled and if they do not, they need to go out and spend.

Joking right? That is not an expensive price for a footy ticket....

Shocked that we have not sold out the 770...
Hoping for a 1-0 win

When was the last time we did not sign anyone before the first game of the season?

As much as I would love to be optimistic I just find myself struggling to be.
I just had a quick look at tickets available for the game and it looks incredibly empty, I can imagine it being 9k which is just awful. It really actually makes me quite sad. I think the senior members of Blackburn Rovers really need to have a hard look at themselves and see what they are doing at the moment is now working.
I think this season is really an unknown, we have lost a lot of players but no one that I will miss massively (apart from Elliot) and we have added no one. It is remarkable that we will through the young lads in and watch them either sink or swim, maybe that is what we need- who knows? I can't make my mind up.
The one plus note is that the kits are fantastic but we have still managed to 'Blackburn Rovers' that by having them late and not having them in stock. I had a look online and there is nothing (apart from socks), I think it will be diabolical if there is no shirts available in the Roverstore for people to buy on the opening day of the season.
Furthermore, I think this is top down, not providing funds to the manager is completely unacceptable, the club has to work on raising revenue but making sure the supporters are happy.
In summary, everything just feels off but me must move forward.
Anyway, I going to go for an optimistic 2-2 and I am hoping for 11k with significant help from Swansea...

Reality is, have our goal stood then that would not have happened.... the championship and officiating is a joke!

Rothwell held onto it to the perfect amount of time, he was onside....

A completely routine call and they have completed stuffed it.

the pitch looks absolutely awful, what is going on...
TERRIBLE officiating....

A thumping 2-1 win for us this weekend, for me I think this period is vital.
I think is we can pick up 3 wins from the next four, it will set us well for next year, unlikely I know!

The reality is he stifles the life out of this team at times and actually plays into the oppositions hands. They come to stop us so we sit back and let them.
Last 2 games he was clearly settling in for the point it's just a good job one or two of these players actually have some belief we can knick it.
He's done a decent job here but his real abilities as a manage are way overhyped.
I have to agree with you that I think he does try to draw teams out from the back which does not work all the time. I certainly think to be successful in the Championship you have to come to us and get at least a point and teams are happy to tuck 10 behind the ball and just see it out.
