  1. I want him here. I am impressed with the way hes refused to take ###### from souness, and stuck two fingers up at those that think he should stay somewhere he doesnt like the management. Hes also a top player, and would give something to the team that it needs.

One thing to refuse to take &*$# from Souness. Another thing to feign injury and let your teammates down.

    Complete and utter idiot.

I would not say that is worse than denying to be a sub, like Todd did last season. That also let his teammates and the team down.

Now, this season, he's vital for us, and many want him as captain.

And let's not forget, both incidents happened under Souness.

Sparky turned Souness reject Todd from villain to hero. Who's to say that can't happen to Bellamy as well?

  2. Personally, I would sooner see us relegated than have to watch Bellamy - a thoroughly unpleasant man, undisciplined, bad-tempered, immature and an all-round dodgy character. Some things are more important than football and allowing that bloke to think he can behave the way he does on and off the pitch is one of them.

    Sorry - I'm not a fan!

I tend to judge players _after_ they have been with us for a while.

IF Bellamy signs, and that's a big if, he's got my full support, until the day he, IF, and there's another big if, he acts stupid in one way or another.

I don't care about players falling out with managers, as long as they're not our player and manager. Which I happened to see a lot in recent years wink.gif

I don't care about how Andy Todd or Jon Stead are private (within the law of course), what I care about is what they do for the team. And if they do a good job, I'm happy. After all, as you say, it's only football.

If Bellamy signs, and then falls out with Hughes, Iwill agree with you. But I don't wanna blame players before they've had a chance. With us, that is.

  3. Now, IF Barry is to leave, and mark this, I say IF he leaves, then i lose all respect for the guy, which have grown bigger and bigger during his time at Ewood.

The guy is a class act, if you ask me.

Returning to Rangers, and a whole of 4 (four) exciting matches a year (not counting cups) will show the guy has no ambitions. Also, he is our captain, and as a captain it is his job to keep a good harmony amongst the players, and this can only be done by actually denying the rumours.

IF he is to leave, then he can just sod off to the amateur league scottish football is, does not deserve to wear the pride of the blue and white jersey of the Lancashire rose.

It's all about Art and Labour, Barry. You got the art, now do the labour needed for Rovers to shine once again. Captaining the Rovers is a career merit in itself, please don't do us another duffer or shearer....

Now, as I said, the above words are only valuable IF this is true. I do not believe, nor wish to believe that he's on his way.

As a Rovers Barry is a hero, no doubt. And that's what brings these emotional reactions. As a returning Ranger, he's nothing but a *** of ***.

Come on Barry, show us why you opted for us. Blackburn Rovers will rise again, and to do that we need a loyal hardworking captain as you have proven to be!

  4. Dunno if this has been mentioned, but according to norwegian TV2 Nettavisen, Stig inge Bjørnebye (now assistant norway manager for those who didn't know) was in Blackburn last friday and had a talk with Hughes about Pedersen.

According to Hughes, MGP will get his chance, he just feels the young lad is not ready yet.

    No need to panic ohmy.gif)

  5. I personally feel its an injustice to Flitcroft.

Here's a guy who's stuck by Rovers through thick and thin only to see a chap who's played a handful of games replace him as captain.

Having said that maybe Flitty asked to be relinquished of the captain's armband??

I think you'll have to concider the fact that Flitty aint gonna be in the regular starting 11 next season, whilst Bazza sure is.

  6. rover.gif surely being stripped of the captiancy tells mr flitcroft it is time to move on,but another blunder by souey and robbie williams means he will be leaving with a couple off million quid, well done to the chuckle brothers tinykit.gif

    Yeah blame Robbie Williams.....

I think bazza as captain is a good thing, Flitty wont be a regular starter next season IMO

  7. I think age has just caught up with him. With Bazza back in the squad, he's lost his place to become, more than likely, a Mr. Reliable figure on the bench. Still, I think a Ferguson/Bazza middle two could still work if we got a decent defender (like being linked with Daniele Adani).

We gettin' Duncan in for our midfield?

  8. His club holding out for more money and no-one actually witnessing him having a good game.

I don't wanna be rude, but how can you possibly state that noone have seen him play a good game?

The fact that YOU haven't seen him play a good game does not mean that noone else have either. If it wasn't for the good games he's had, do you think there's any chance he'd be as hyped as he is today?

MGP have delivered several good games. The fact that his last game were not good does not change anything.
