What about Henning Berg he came back and did a fantastic job for us. If Cole can keep fit I think it would be a good short term move for Rovers but they need a younger striker as well

I don't want to criticize Dickov because playing a lone role is not his forte. The goals he scored for Leicester last season were as a result of playing alongside another striker and getting onto nod ons and ricochets.

Our attack was awful. Dickov spends too much time arguing with the referee.

I was hoping for Stead to start.

The injury of Matteo, even though i didn't care much of it, ruined our substitution plans.

Instead of Emerton, it should have been Stead to come on.

Dickov was useless, every good move was ended but dickov was offside all the time, hes a crap player and should be replaced next season if the club want to move forward. Having a player of dickovs class as our first choice striker says it all.

I originally thought it was a definite penalty in real time but having watched the incident numerous times on the bbc highlights they have on their website, after riding the initial challenge, MGP seems to flop to the floor without being seriously inhibited by Kenton.

Now, I'm only looking at it from one camera angle - so perhaps not conclusive, but my honest opinion is that it wasn't a pen. Having realised that he might struggle to reach the ball, with Kenton decumbent, MGP topples over without help from the defender. Or that's what it looks to me.

Couldnt agree more. If we have dickov as our number 1 striker next season prepare for another season of a dogfight. Our divison one strikeforce of Jansen/Bent is miles better then any combination we've had this year. Its simple our strike force is crap.

As flopsy rightly points out, even if they are all @#/?, the best of @#/? is still the best we've got, and based on this seasons performances, he has been the best we've had.

Nisse has been superb alongside Todd. Hughes must be looking to add some pace to the defence with Mokoena but Nisse hasn't merited being dropped.

Very glad to hear the boys did well, have read most post match commentaries and posts and am happy to hear that both Mokena and Nelsen had good games.. well done also to MGP (NOT getting involved with the  MGP debate). 

I know it was quite a "physical" match but I am getting concerned by the number of yellow cards the players are receiving, we must be worst in the league.. Mind you, we do have depth in the squad to handle suspensions.

IF, we can string the next three matches together with a run of  wins, I'll be more cormfortable with rovers going into the toughest period of the season..

I think you might be confusing me with Cuidado. I was not hailing him as the Messiah and I have not said that he should be starting games. What I have said is that he should have had more than the meagre sub appearances he's had. In fact, apart from the Bournemouth match, he hasn't had any.

There's is no doubt that Emerton and Thommo should start the next games if fit.

And sorry if I misinterpreted you because from what you initially posted, I got the impression you didn't want to see MGP in a Rovers shirt again. I'll repeat it until I'm senseless, Thierry Henry made a habit of hitting the ad hoardings in his first season. He needed patience from the fans and so will MGP.

todd and matteo made a few mistakes between them which could have cost a goal. Stead has very good upfront almost making a goal for himself out of nothing, really deserved a goal. Lucas was very good as well. Thompson Motm though.

Dicky has scored as many prem goals this season as Anelka, Gudjonson and Scoles.

And more than Andy Cole.

Its the end of season tally that matters. If The D man can play out of skin until then he could be up there maybe. Granted this could all help if he was sold at end of season helping the club make a profit.

Although I do think that Dickov is hard to play with, the time he shouted at Gally for scoring sumed that up for me, I remeber someone did that to me when I scored in a Cup Final, but we were 10 years old

The fact is if theres a clear one on one with the keeper the majority of us will pray its not dickov, these type of chances win games. Although dimwits such a rovers6 will still defend dickov, fair play dickov gives all his effort but there is no place in this game to carry people just because they give 110%. Surely thats to be expected of a player anyway?. The premiership is about quality and dickov is not.
