  1. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL USA BASED SUPPORTERS:

Starting with today's match at Hull City, 7 of the 9 matches to be played over the next 39 days will be televised by ESPN+ due to their selection for broadcast by Sky Sports in the UK.  Be aware that the total cost per month of ESPN+ is only $6.99 plus applicable taxes in your state, so you've no excuse not to be paying attention.  I'm not one to sing ESPN's praises, but this is too good to pass up, especially when compared to the cost & streaming quality of RoversTV.

  2. I've always thought that when traveling to away matches supporters should all wear red/black anyway, unless it's an away ground where we can wear our traditional kit.  Even in years the club hasn't made that choice, wearing those colors (colours) every time would send the not so subtle message that those are what we prefer, which seems to be the case amongst the supporter base by a considerable margin.

As long as the team play well I don't give a damn about the kit. Buy a blue and white scarf instead

So an all brown kit sponsored by Scott's 1000 toilet paper would be copacetic with you?

  4. Alright, that's it!!!

First, we need somebody in East Lancs who knows how to silk screen to carve out 2 10Bet logos. (make sure they're perfect)

Everybody who prefers the red/black halves buy one from Umbro. (You can get their generic blue/white too if for some reason you dislike this year's traditional (home) kit.)

Now we'll need a good supply of embroidered club badges. (Does the club sell them in the store?)

Someone will need to offer at cost to screen the 10Bet logo onto the kits (white onto red/black, RED onto blue/white) & affix the badges. (DO NOT TRY TO PROFIT FROM THIS; THE CLUB &/OR UMBRO WILL SUE.)

Voila: The kits I believe most of us prefer exactly as we want them, complete with the current sponsor's logo in the color it should be.

If enough of us keep doing this they will eventually capitulate; it's simple commercial math.  It will take a concerted effort, but we can do this.

You've still bought an Umbro kit

Point taken, but as Joe points out below, they lose considerable markup.

The other funny bit is that it’s £20. They could slap a Blackburn badge and a 10Bet logo on that and they’ve got themselves a £60 kit somehow.

Umbro get the best of both world then. People buying that kit and possibly buying the offical away kit as well

No, no, no......That would defeat the purpose.  You buy the red/black halves & you keep wearing ONLY them at the away matches until they get the message.

The frustrating thing is they sell a half and half red/black kit, which is what so many people want, but we won't get. Would be so easy.

If a bunch of us went out and bought this and applied Rovers badges to them and kept wearing them at away match after away match, season after season, then maybe they'd get the ****ing hint.

They did, Ryanie, I even thought he was about to change the decision as the guy was running up, like in the Burnley game. But I think he was just gesturing for Raya to stay on his line.

The gesturing to Raya was after the discussing part Brucie. Like I said, we disagree.  In the record books it will always be a penalty, but it was a bad call, period, end of.......ta ta.

I would have been amazed if we had got that.  Not enough for a pen for me, cheat, why was he holding his ear, stay down so long? He did nit decide to flop till he realised be was never catching the ball.  I have no idea how the review can give it either, I have watched it over and iver and still have a hard time seeing contact.

You ain't the only 1 'Blue.

The real contact was actually exactly when he goes down. There were two points of potential contact to watch for on the replay. The first point, I agree he doesn't touch him. But he leaves a foot in and slightly trips the player, who immediately goes to ground.

Soft, but a penalty. Then again Armstrong got full on shoved in their box when it was going out in the first half, and we got nothing.

We'll have to agree to disagree Brucie.  I found it especially interesting how long the ref and the VAR schmuck discussed it before the spot kick was taken.

  11. If some club makes a bid for him that we find acceptable, Barcelona has the right to match that offer and take him back. There is no set fee that allows Barcelona to take him back whenever they want. This prevents Barcelona from dealing with the dreaded scenario of having given up too early on a big star who then ends up with ManU, Inter, etc.... or worst of all for them: Real. The clause protects them from that.

In other words: If he ends up a big superstar, the only way he lines up against Barca is with Rovers in the Champions League.

    Sounds good to me. :P

  12. I was not referring to whether or not the signatures were real. I give you more credit than that. Just list, exactly, the brand, style and any specific print on the ball. (a picture or 2 would help) If it was the brand & style of match ball used by the FAPL that year it would increase the retail cost of the ball by £100 - £200. :tu:
