Cannot agree. Birmingham was a big stronghold of the temperance movement and there are big swathes of the city with hardly any pubs. Those breweries that serve the city are hardly top class.

That's why the sensible drinker ignores the big brewers. There are plenty of independents. The Indian brewery marries great craft beer with great Indian Street food.

  2. Putting the shamefully scandalous £43 jack walker upper outer price into context it is £14 more than I paid for the 2002 league cup final and about £17 more than the 2007 FA cup semi final.

Not withstanding the shameless £3 tax on latecomers !!!

What is the reasoning for making a nonentity like Sheff Wed cat A+?

Going to be a piss poor gate on Saturday you’d wager with any floating fan who simply wants to buy a Sheff Wed ticket being charged up to £48 for the privilege...

Only been to Ewood once in the last 7 years (since the Kean out Bolton home debacle) and that was to the Charlton game which was piss poor. I was bought that ticket as the it was a special invite by the father in law as the brother in law was up from darn sarf.

Fast forward to now and 2 mates asked me if I want to meet up and go for a one off game for old times sake, like back in the day when Rovers ruled all our lives. I picked 2nd Nov Vs sheff wed. Now my mate sits in the jw stand. So I looked and almost spat my teeth out that it was FORTY THREE POUNDS!!! to sit in his area yet the online ticket system won't even tell me the seat numbers.

Hasten to say I'll meet them for a pre match beer then go home.

I'm very much in the "very satisfied" camp, if there is one on here! Yes there have been dark times; 2 runs where it seemed hard to see where the next win was coming from; too much loyalty to below-par players; some very inept defending & lack of intensity offensively; a failure to kick on after January.

But I'm extremely heartened by the young, creative, pacey forward options we have, and TM's acknowledgement that we need new 1st 11 defenders. We've a number of forward-thinking players who will cause defences huge problems next season, and our style of play is definitely showing signs of evolving into something less direct. What the manager now needs to do is find a proper team identity that is founded on hard work & team spirit but is more than that, which finds the right balance between being solid & competitive whilst also being dynamic & pleasing on the eye.

It's not an easy task but were it not for several poor late goals earlier in the season & some eyewatering individual errors scattered across the season, we could quite easily have finished on 70 points. If we can cut half of those out, I don't think it would take as much change / overhaul of what we have as others have suggested to enable us to hit 75 points plus next season.  75 points qualified for the playoffs in all but 2 of the last 10 seasons.

Go the whole hog. For if, buts, maybe and average Joe players we could have had 138 points!! ??
