  1. What a ???

    Rovers policy should be

Bought prior to 12.30 "Thank you ever so much for your support. Enjoy the game"

Bought after 12.30 "Thank you ever so much for your support. Enjoy the game"

Rather than profiteering with no justification whatsoever. I know it was on all last season but it's a disgraceful stance and always has been.

It's certainly not the club it once was off the pitch.

The kit wasn’t a particularly light blue in 91/92, are they not getting confused with 90/91?

They are certainly getting it mixed up 100000000%

    91-92 and 90-91

  3. Rovers back o

in the Prem would be amazing but I'd take Rovers being in the championship for the rest of my days for a world cup win.

A world cup is huge, an entire country going bezerk!!!

But as the latter will never happen in my lifetime I'll settle for Rovers agoing up ?

Former Rover on the pitch in the World Cup final......................a player some "fans" on here were glad to say goodbye to.

He was average until he went to Seville. Like Henchoz he turn his back on the club after a relegation he partly caused. No time for tossers like that.

Well it's a true enough stat. Compared to Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, France etc. we really struggle in the knockout stages.

Belgium and Cameroon were despatched in extra time. Colombia were beaten on pens which is a test of metal. They cannot be dismissed purely to trump up a stat

Unless we are also dismissing the 66 final ;)

  6. I'm still pretty devastated. I was convinced that despite not being the best team ever to grace the world stage fortune was for once smiling on us. I'd even been to Amroth on the day of the Columbia game where no member of my family has been since 1966 final day (gran, grandad, mother as a child). My grandad passed away last year and It was written in the stars to me due to my personal portents. I was utterly convinced that this was the time and we will NEVER get as close again in all our lifetimes (if you are older than 20).

League fortunes wax and wane regularly over someone's lifetime unless you support Rochdale ? but the world cup to an Englishman is THE zenith. The unconquered summit. The ONE.

  7. Football is a team game. One day an unfancied country will win the WC because they are a good collective unit rather than the best collective of individuals. It's happened a few times in the euros but as yet never at a WC.      Though Croatia could yet be that team. (Who also had a very easy run through the knockout stages)
