  1. from today's match, it is clear that blackburn need to sign very good players to keep bellamy. he's mainly the reason why rovers managed to leave fratton park with a point and also why the club is still 6th. the gap between his class n the rest of the team is quite obvious as many would have observed.

Bad week ahead. can't be possibly looking at 4th spot when the team didn't win when expected to.

anyway, i betted blackburn to win last match vs wigan n this match. Both ended in draws. I shall stop gambling and maybe rovers will continue their winning ways n beat liverpool tongue.gif

  2. crouch jus isn't worth what liverpool paid for him...

even with his height, he can't jump and head like heskey.

reminds me of stead. tall but not much aerial ability.

he holds up the ball a bit better than stead.

no balance becos of height, average dribbling skills... mayb finishing is ok.

but the goal tally don't lie...

  3. i couldn't believe the scoreline. but the mistake by scholes really help us. of cos, MGP took his chance really well.

we can draw to bolton away, newcastle home yet beat manure 2-1 at old trafford. don't know how to bet for blackburn in the future. rolleyes.gif

  4. Believe Hughes will try his new 4-4-2 (so that bellamy can play) against a side like huddlesfield. Don't think any key player can rest the whole game. A win here is psychologically important considering the premiership fixtures ahead.

    bellamy jansen/kuqi

    MGP savage reid/tugay emerton

    gresko nelsen zurab/mokoena neil

    friedel

    comfortable 3-0 if 4-4-2 works.

scrappy 2-1 if switches between 4-4-2 and 4-5-1

Let us forget last sunday! cool.gif

  5. it was the first match of the season and they showed it live on TV. I was so elated to see Blackburn live. but it wasn't meant to be a happy saturday night. seeing them going from 1-0 up to lose 1-3 to a championship team like west ham is quite demoralising.

it's clear that hughes had wanted to go 4-4-2 for the new season after signing 2 strikers. those pre-season results seem to have given him some confidence that this will work. apparently the result tonight proved otherwise. but i don't think he will give up 4-4-2 for 4-5-1 that fast. not at least for the next home game.

the rovers tonight really look like relegation contenders without anyone really outstanding. still it's only game 1, let's wait for game 2.

  6. gallagher n bothyrod were totally toothless. not a shot from them. rightly substituted.

defence did all that they could. i jus kept seeing mokoena winning headers after headers, more than todd. he's a bargain at 300k.

neil n matteo as usual, not impressive.

todd, did well to serve diouf his yellow very early on the game but didn't do quite enough to send him off.

MGP was good gettin into positions wher bothyrod, gallagher n stead should have gotten into. but is MGP is no winger, he hardly crosses n 'll never dribble like duff.

emerton tried hard but wasn't his best.

thompson n savage were average. savage got his yellow early on n has to keep quiet to prevent getting a red on his debut. thompson didn't get forward as much as i will like, making it looked more like fergurson is sorely missed.

stead, i think he's losing it.

jemal johnson, surely got pace if not anything else.

end of the day, we might have gotten just one point at most if bolton didn't get that penalty.

so a night to forget. sleep.gif
