Tugay as coach, anyone?
-
..and I was pleased to see Franny grab hold of the ball for the penalty - no one else was going to take it!
Good point. It shows both character and hunger for goals, which can only be positive. Someone might call that it the act of a 'proper man', I should think.
-
Tugay is unbelievable. He's up there with players like Bergkamp, Maldini and Roby Baggio
Three points - great! Now let's beat Feyenoord, secure the group win and show those nancies how to breed good youngsters (no pun intended, honest!)
-
Paal Flaata concert coming up in December, probably the finest voice in Norway
-
Fact or fiction isn't really the right question to ask, unless you are a religious fanatic or George Bush. The facts are there, the people not aknowledging them must have conflicting interests.
-
Good point about falling deep to collect, he would've been more effective there with a Robbie Keane type of partner, on the shoulder of the last defender as someone put it..
-
Lay off the Stella?
-
They've taken that silly "the Darkness" thing even further..
Sorry, Cletus, I'm still not sure what you did, was it a pun of some sort? Anyways, the Cynics were fantastic, a real cult garage band it seems. (I can see why!)
Was looking forward to seeing the Bloody Hollies in Oslo the 22th, but it looks like the Feyenoord match will put an end to that.. close future: Kaizers Orchestra, Minor Majority and probably Black Debbath.
(The name Black Debbath of course comes from Black Sabbath - debatt is also the Norwegian word for 'debate'.) Fun little band, combining metal with humorous lyrics about politics etc. They also have a cd named "Mongo Norway", which is a (and I quote:) "more realistic tourist guide"..
They are currently touring in Norway with a Henrik Ibsen salute, with the suitable single "Motorhedda Gabler". (Hedda Gabler being a character from one of his most famous plays, "et dukkehjem").

YESS! 22-24.nov = off work, and Hotel Sofitel + airplane tickets organized.
Only match tickets left then, just got a confirmation email from ticket office - who asked me to send over the visa info. My travelling mate (former season ticket holder) will call the ticket office on the 6th, should I still send the visa info to T.O.?
Bjarte seems certain he will get tickets, even though none of us are ST holder nor travellers to the former Euro matches this year. Can someone please agree with him, and tell me I worry for no reason?
Oh well, worst case scenario; two day trip to Amsterdam.
-
His point was this:-
How can you conpare what goes on in Football Manager to REAL LIFE.
Are you agreeing with him on it
You pick out the last bit, which he probably included just as a humorous paralell. There's no need to answer to a post out of context just to show discontent. Do I agree? Yes, we do concede too much from corners and set pieces.
-
The WORST post I have ever read - well done
Come on, his point is valid enough. Play nice.
-
We definitely need him back asap! Gallagher to fill a central role if Mokoena/Tugay doesn't work out perhaps? Or Bentley with Gally taking the wide role.. Steven Reid, we need you!
-
Early text then, Den? No news on the official site yet.
Oh wait, there it is now
With Savage suspended, I think we'll need a lot of attacking runs from our fullbacks to help out offensively. I'm not too happy with our bench, but it will be a nice test for young Peter. Anyone think McEveley would've been preferred instead of Gray if the rest of the team was more the usual starting lineup?
-
You're right, I believe he's called Petric. But scoring four against Andorra isn't necessarily proof of anything..
-
I won't complain, just yet
-
Just faxed my application in, will I get a response on this, or do I just have to wait? A cheque is more of a GB kind of thing, costs like 20 pounds just to send one from Norway. Didn't add my VISA number though, a mistake probably..

Baldwin was great (tragically underused)
"Oh no, they have Alec Baldwin! He's the best actor in the world!"
-
Rovers always get Wham's season up and running when they go to Upton Park.
Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. Will the injury to MGP influence this?
-
I must say I don't agree much with Hughe's tactics on this game. I like to see us do well in every competition, but we have many others to think about and were handed a crap draw anyway. Even Cheslea's 2nd string, had they played it, would have been favourites. We should have rested a few players and given others a chance, and whatever happend - happend. Instead now we'll be more tired for the weeked game and have got new injuries to key players.
Ooijer, Tugay, Savage are three rested players for this match. I'm surprised that both Neill and Emerton played the full ninety minutes after their run of matches the last few weeks.. That being said, those three changes shuffled the whole defence and midfield around - if Sparky were to rest more players even, the team might suffer too much for McEveley, Henchoz and Mokoena to have a fair go.
At work during the match, so if someone would bother to rate the players from 1 - 10 or something - would appreciate it.
-
Getting worried now, as a non-seasonticket holder and non-Krakow/Salzburg attendee, but with a hotel room..
-
Yes, I have seen it. A close friend of mine has one of the leading roles, so I might be biased - but decent entertainment without being especially inventive. I liked it!
-
Looks like me and Bjarte (PennyDuff) will be staying at the Sofitel Hotel in Amsterdam. Anyone else staying there? Flying out from Norway Wednesday morning or afternoon, and back home Friday morning.
-
Saw the Cynics Friday night, great stuff! Also, JR Ewing had their final concert ever last night, decent experience altogether. But the Cynics really impressed me, will try to download a few cd's.. anyone heard these people?
-
Wouldn't be the first time. Not directly comparable, but Steffen Iversen in England and Steffen Iversen in Norway are two totally different players injurywise. He never really had time to recover and he often played with injuries for Spuds..

Could this pave the way for Todd as a defensive midfielder?
