  1. I'm not so optimistic as to predict 24 or 18 or whatever points.... it would be nice to be out of single digits-- 12 being a bonus! West Ham will be up for it on Opening Day, I would have preferred an established club to kick off the festivities.

Having the fixtures out puts everything into perspective--the league will shortly resume and don't have to watch some of this vapid International fare for my footballing jones.

  2. A strong showing of nearly 22K in Ewood Pk. was good to see & a very good reflection of the good citizens of Blackburn. The Park, as always was simply beautiful & provided a apt frame for the festivities.

I was dissappointed the Swedes failed before reaching the final-but the Norweigan's gave a good account of themselves. Their goal in the first half vs.

    Germany was stunningly well played.

    Well done, Blackburn.

  3. Agreed Greggyk-

there's no way we can give him that mantle just yet, the jury is still be out on Sparky. our history is too rich to jump the gun- perhaps if this was a smaller, fly by night operation like (fill in your own blank).

That said, gotta love Sparky. Big heart on that man !

  4. Christ !!!

Even soccernet 's joining in the fun, getting on Sparky's back. Check the caption beneath sparky's picture. 'Not afraid to show the back of his hand' or something to that effect. what w**kers!!!

The bandwagon 's gotten quite full now. dry.gif

  5. Lovely rant, FLB ! Well done, son.

I rather like being referred to as Blackburn's Angry Mob. It's a right footballing sobriquet...

Let them talk, we'll buy it if we want, ignore it if we must. They need us more than we'll ever need them.

    Roll on, Rovers. rover.gif

  6. This past week:

    The Flaming Lips- Soft Bulletin

    Yoshimi Battles .... Giant Robots.

Track #10 in Soft Bulletin- is the track i'd love to see Rovers come out to. sublime.

  7. I'm thinking Bazza IS A BRASILIAN GRANNY.

Anyone catch the match at the weekend, did the wee lad even play? I would think a match at San Siro vs. Italy for WCQ is as big as it comes. Maybe not as big as an OF, apparently.

His desertion was the best thing that could have happened to Rovers. Perhaps the medicine didn't taste good going down, but in the long run - you'll see. For the best.

    Tremendous bottler.
