  1. It amazes me how fickle we all are with regards to Tugay. I admit...I'm one of these people myself. One week he's strolling into our "legends" category, the next week he's a "liability" who shouldn't get a new deal!!! For me lets remember the good times if he does go in the summer.

  2. What the hell is going on with our defence at the moment? Apart from Nelsen and Neil were shipping goals left right and centre. Hopefuly we'll get Tugay and Kuqi off. That lads inability at this level is really causing concern, apparently even Savage made a negative/funny comment about him to the media the other day as well.

  3. Good performance from us, and it does make you proud to be a Rover. I was so confident of a win if Bellers was playing, but when I saw the team sheet it made you think "what hope do we have at OT with one very ordinary striker (compliment) and one withdrawn striker/midfielder. The writing was on the wall. Bellamy is so important to us that its crazy. If we don't have a striker by sat and Bellers isn't fit (very likely) then chances are that were going to be sent packing. I just hope that this defeat doesn't cause us to go on a bad run, but with our current set of strikers I just cannot see us scoring enough. Final note though, as someone else said, its been years since weve seen 11 players wearing their hearts on their sleevs...its great to see.

Pires has pace, skill, flair, great passing range, the ability to play the killer ball, a great crosser and is an amazing finisher.

Again mate, Im not trying to have a go back, but you could argue that MGP has a fair amount of skill, flair and the ability to play the killer ball. I'm not saying he is or will be anywhere as good as Pires, but I think hes a similar type of player thats all.

  5. "I've yet to read anyone slating Pedersen."

    What about these?

Personally I am sick to death of watching MGP playing down our left flank.  However, his wing play is amongst the very worst I've had the mis-pleasure of watching in many a year.

To be fair though Pedersen has played on wing for us a few times with limited sucess. The only time he stands out is when he piledrives the ball into the back of the net. I cannot remember a Pedersen cross living long in the memory and after all that is his job to deliever crosses. tinykit.gif

Pedersen has been playing distinctly average for 12 months now. His goals have been his saving grace. He has not had one great game for Rovers from a general play point of view.

If Pedersen doesn't start pulling his weight there is room for one more position on that list.

  6. Although United have a squad of class players, 1 player has been the major difference this season between them and the rest of the clubs bar Chealsea...Rooney. If he somehow (Please God) gets injured for the games then we can beat them. If hes on fire then I think they'll have too much for us.
