  1. Watched a documentary film last night on BBC4 about the infamous "free" concert by the Rolling Stones at a speedway track near San Fransisco in 1969.

The security at this gig was done by the Hells Angels & the whole day was marred by violence between the Angels & the crowd. At one point the music stopped as Jefferson Airplane singer was beaten up by some Hells Angels & knocked unconscious.

When the Stones took to the stage, the violence flared again during their first song with several people getting hurt. Hells Angels with clubs & sticks waded into the crowd beating up all & sundry.

The band stopped playing several times, whilst Jagger appealed for calm, but the fights kept breaking out.

Towards the end of the film, a fight scene was shown 'again' but in slow motion, showing a black guy in a green coloured outfit pointing a gun towards the stage area (Stones & Angels were both on stage) the black guy was seen to be violently stabbed by a nearby angel, & apparently took one hell of a beating as well as several stabbings.

The film ended with a shocked looking Mick Jagger being shown the slow-motion replay of the incident.

A very interesting but disturbing documentary, that i`d recommend people watch...given the chance.

The 60s eh? The love generation <_<

my old man was there that fateful day :(

  2. Maybe we need to send the drummer to Music Lessons, at least if he beats in time it might not sound as bad :D

here's a music lesson for you ,if the drummer is out of time or speeds up / slows down you stick with him ie he is always right. To remedy the rythmical indiscretion you can do one of two things, 1 carry on as normal thus causing high blood preasure and bleeding noses or 2 sack him . Shed builders are two a penny

  3. We might be the cheapest club to watch in the prem, but that doesnt mean to say the price of a ticket is cheap.I travel from london as often as I can, but with the job I do it is hard for me to get Sat off.The biggest put off for me was travelimg 440 miles at the cost of aprox £50 petrol, then by a ticket /beer/food and THEN see us get stuffed by Boro 4 nil. What a day that was smile.gif But no doubt Ill be there again this season as often as I can. I hate loving rovers biggrin.gif

  4. Why should it be free? Rovers are a business, not a right. With the amounts that those locals lucky enough to have a season ticket pay each year, 25 quid is the least we can contribute for the honor of being able to listen to every match live.

Rovers arent a business they are a football club it should be free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
