I hope this is the season we see the old Kerrigan back at Lancs match winner on his day
Well he'll have to get back to that. 10 wickets on the last day on a 'still decent pitch'???

If you squint your eyes from 01:43 it could almost be Chris Brown.

Stanley on the brink.
When we're in the same league there could be a '1992 situation' all over again.
With fans having to decide on their no.1 club.

I'm sure in jims world there are no nations and everyone can play for any country they chose. One big happy country. Round in circles we go.
Sounds like the EU dictatorship (apart from the happy part).
Anyway, well done Lancs on a smashing performance!!

I see Lancs have started the season well. I know it's only the first 2 days.........but to lose the toss and bowl Notts out and then get a first innings lead (still with wickets to go) is no mean feat - especially since they are most people's relegation candidates this season - mostly due to a fragile batting line-up.

Ahhh, nationality and parentage...the debate that will never end....
Was George Orwell a famous Indian novelist?
As he doesn't look so Venky to me..........
Anyway, Morgan probably dislikes England deep down.........I've noticed he never sings the National anthem (as he'd probably get vilified back in his native Ireland).

Is that 3 of the original line up down now? At what point does it cease to be AC/DC? Time they gave it up now...
It's possibly better (and definitely cheaper) to watch a professional covers group these days.

Shocking news. Shame for him and English cricket. The top order starting to look a bit weak because struggling for an opener, no 3 and now a no 5.
Cook
?
?
Root
?
Stokes
Bairstow
Hales, Compton, lyth, Robson, carberry at various points all looked poor. Ali and ballance hit and miss. Lees untested. Jason roy and bell Drummond prob not up to it yet. Maybe Buttler could slot in at 5 instead of Taylor.
Dare I mention _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ?

That's a bit of a shock. Touted future England Captain, age 26.
At least he's in good hands.

Fury v Klitschko rematch set for July 9th, although the Klitschko camp are yet to confirm.
Fingers crossed Klitschko brings some order back to the division and takes those belts back off Fury, the mans an embarrassment to the sport.
That rematch was never going to happen.

"someone could have been killed" a woman being interviewed said on the news the day after
Those are the kind of quotes I heard.
Along with women and children were being stomped all over.

the4400.....people abducted throughout the last 80 years are suddenly deposited back on earth and not one of them have aged a day since they went missing. Loved the first season, but finding the second season a drag to watch, but i will get through it.
The mystery surrounding the Ewood Park attendance figures may have inexplicably been solved.

Download 2006 seemed like a right old knees up.
"Riot police stormed the campsite".

Does anyone still seriously think we'll do down?

Windies were not very magnanimous in victory though, and to mouth off like they did just after winning the biff, bash bosh version of cricket was pretty poor.
Telling me. Talk about bad winners. If Samuels was a footballer he'd certainly be a 'chicken dancer'.

That's put the tin lid on a terrible weekend for sport. What's worse is after giving us no hope at half time they made me believe but still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
That's the worst thing about it. The only thing that would have made this weekend worse would have been a Brown equaliser in the last minute and then a Preston winner in the 93rd.
I was quite relaxed at the half way stage as we had no chance - then they got into a position where most neutrals were calling England favourites - yet they still managed a way to choke spectacularly. It's England to a T.
-
That was an almighty fail right at the end.
I hate sport.
I'll give Euro 2016 a miss this year.
-
Nowhere near enough runs. But still............ if they get a couple of wickets early up there could yet still be hope, but it feels similar to half time yesterday (resigned to defeat).
-
Pretty rubbish start. Turning into a disastrous sporting weekend
Do you know where The Samaritans are in Blackburn?

The last train on Saturdays is only 11pm, or at least it used to be. Been stranded in Manchester loads of times after gigs and usually end up having to stay over or shell out £50 on a taxi!
dn
Edit : just realised I answered that post assuming you were coming back from Manchester and it doesn't actually say that . But the point 't mndstands, public transport sucks!
I meant coming back.
I didn't mind so much getting stranded on a bank holiday weekend a while back as there were loads of clubs open until 4am. But even Manchester nightlife is pretty grim on any normal Sunday.
Just can't afford a night of accommodation (+ transport, gig ticket, food and beer). Something has got to give.... may as well save some pennies and see if Download is a viable option this year (only 10 weeks to go).
-
Well that was pretty amazing - England in the final against Windies (not just a one-man team after all).
Not many people predicted that.
Looking forward to the final on Sunday where the crowd will mostly be against England. Hopefully Windies will field as bad as they did yesterday.

I heard about a massive scrap at a rugby league game.

Though it looks like handbags and women's exaggerations looking at that video.

Ian McShane was only born here while his Dad played for Rovers (who had also played for Man United), I don't think Ian was in the area long?
(Just checked his wiki, he grew up in Davyhulme, Greater Manchester).
He even mentions he's from Manchester in the TV series Deadwood.

Last train back to Blackburn on a Sunday is before 10pm (and the bus is 6:45pm) so no post-Lancashire derby gig this weekend.
Just when did the public transport become THAT lame?
