Has anyone elses heart started to race, veins popping out of your head, or just me?

I ******* knew I shouldn't have clicked on this link, why is that ******* rat being given column inches in the local paper?

    Is it April fool days?

I'm off the ******* scale now, boiling, the rat ****

What an absolute disgrace, who's the pr1ck who interviewed him?

I need a drink, wheres the blood pressure monitor?

Just post a few potentially libellous comments and it will soon be taken down. I have posted one and will be surprised once the powers that be read it, if it is still up by 5.oopm today.

  2. That's because you have your head in the sand. The club has been bled dry by crooked agents, and you don't think fans should be sensitive to who is representing our players?

You are spot on and the post you were replying to there is either crassly stupid or beyond belief in terms of how naïve it is. You only need to look at Myles Anderson for starters, whose father deemed him to be good enough to play in the premier league. I don't know how much he costs the club, but I bet if that money stolen from us on that deal, was given back right now, it would save us from relegation. In addition to that, Leon Best, Danny Murphy and the likes were paid wages that they did not deserve even 10% of, just to line their agents pockets, so why a Rovers fan, would not mind who a players agent is, quite honestly beggars belief.

  3. It's a good job Paul Bradshaw isn't about these days, if the current regime had been in charge when Roger Jones was sold we'd have probably signed some now mark 30+ year old to replace him and Bradshaw would never have seen the light of day. Not for us anyway.

    Not to mention John Butcher.

  4. The issue we face with Gallagher and Emnes is that as soon as their loan period expires plenty of other clubs will be already on the phone with the green light. We wont.

Exactly and that's precisely why I have suggested that our biggest problem will be January. It's bad now, but wait until then and we will all be

    furious.

  5. Exactly this. Lets suppose Coyle manages to deliver survival this season with a couple of games to spare. Highly unlikely in my opinion but you can never say never, especially in this division. What steps would the owners, directors and club take to ensure next season wasn't just a repeat of this season or worse?

Would they give the manager a proper budget to go out and strengthen in June rather than running around picking up loans in late August? Would they allow quality additions to the squad? Would they plug gaps at boardroom level or delegate transfer authority to the UK? Would they fight off interest in what few decent players we have left? Would they make serious offers to try and sign the likes of Hoban and Emnes permanently?

    No. They wouldn't.

On the flip side if we were relegated with 5 games to spare what steps would they take to try and ensure an immediate return? Would they appoint a good League One manager like Bolton did last summer? Would they cherry pick the best League One players early doors to assemble a promotion capable squad for next season?

    No. They wouldn't.

    Bad news all round really.

If we do get the likely relegation, then we are likely to get some weasley words like, we will bounce back. No doubt the likes of Southampton, Norwich and Leicester will be used as examples of teams that fell to the level and are now in the premier league. It honestly would amaze me if we aren't in the fourth tier for the firs time in our history, if Venky's are still here in 3-4 years.

  6. Bonus payments for relegation...I just can't get it outta my head!!!

He is certainly saying the same thing as Kean, about relegation. Kean said no chance we will be relegated and Coyle said last week, he isn't concerned about the league position, as we will not be in the bottom 3 come the end of the season.

  7. The 5/1 offered at the beginning of the season, is looking like a massive mistake by the bookies now. Because my bets always lose and also due to my refusal to buy a season ticket, I have lumped on. I promise to donate the winnings to the club/ local charity, on the proviso that is it after Venkys leave.

  8. No problem whatsoever with that, we all see what we see. However you seem to suggest that there was a groundswell of opinion that Sellars was a soft arse ("It was well known at the time") so you appear to be speaking for others. I would be surprised to see too many people endorsing your opinion. Ask Mark Patterson about Scott Sellars - he curses him as he saw him off the premises at two clubs, and Patty was renowned as a tough tackler.

Patty was an animal in his younger days, fortunately he calmed down.

  9. I have loved some of the last few posts about the eighties. I was in my late teens and early twenties and despite some of those heartbreak near misses in the play offs, the club was my life back then.

It is a shame that it doesn't feel like that anymore, but no one can take away those feelings or those memories, they are simply priceless.

  10. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news/ex-liverpool-blackburn-player-gayle-declines-mbe

Howard gayle has turned down an MBE. Can't fault his reasoning.

Loved Howard Gayle. Nothing could get the BBE going quite like a bit of HG pre-match rabble-rousing! Top, top man.

That brought back memories, as I think he was a member of the team that beat Palace 3-1 in the first leg of the play off final, under the old format. Unless I am mistaken, he missed the penalty that could have made it 4-1 ad we all know what followed at Selhurst Park.

  11. The EFL game at Mansfield on Tuesday will be a good barometer as to our capabilities. My bet is we'll be playing them in two years time anyway along with the likes of Accy etc.

I can't see that happening in 2 years tine, unless Accy have failed to get promotion by then. For the first time in our history, I think we are heading for the fourth tier. Year on year we get steadily worse and the inevitable relegation this year, could quite easily turn into another one the year after.

  12. Graham remains in the shop window here to an extent, score plenty and get good reviews in the first half of the season and an ambitious club around the promotion spots may take a punt. Half a mill plus add ons might do it or even just a better wage and a loan deal.

Either we are paying him a heck of a wage or there must have been other incentives to come here unless he just wants to put some roots down and play first team footy. No player at this club who's viewed as an asset is safe though.

What length of contract was he given?

If he scores a shedload up to xmas he'll be flogged off in January

If he scores a plenty up to Christmas, I will be mightily relieved.

  13. Some posters on here, may remember the rise of Colne Dynamoes and that coincided with Burnley nearly tumbling out of the league. There were some strong rumours at the time, that Colne were going to start to play at Turf Moor had they continued with their success. I have no proof of it, but I would bet some Clarets fans left them and started to watch Colne. Back then in Division 4 they were getting gates of around 3,000 from memory. That all faded into the distance, sadly for Colne and I can only see the same happening to Stanley eventually.
