This final was why I came to loathe Spurs. The arrogance of their fans before the game, dismissing us as a small team and how they were going back to their 'rightful' position as a European team was hard to listen on all the radio shows. Then we won!

I was at work, on my break when it went to 21-3, and forgot to catch up. I have just seen the score now, and it is mental. Whatever they're doing in training must be working as we'd struggle to reach 220 all out in the past. 

Our women's team were playing Coventry United (formerly Coventry City women's team) today at The Butt's Park Arena. I was in the park nearby walking the dogs with my dad and had no idea it was on. The stadium was sadly empty, and we lost 3-1.

The solution is simple. Kick out any club that signs up to this so they can't compete in any domestic league, their players are banned from international competition, and don't get any of the TV money. Call their bluff and isolate them. 

The authorities have been bending over and taking it from arrogant clubs and their greedy owners for too long and it is time to stand up to bullies.

They'll more or less get away with it. A few bribes here and there, or some top lawyers will help Man City and they'll get a fine. The sort of fine that looks a lot, but in reality is like one of us losing a pound coin.

I'm almost done with this club until the Indian scum get out. Sure, I'll be happy if we get promoted and all that, but it will be a shallow joy tempered with the long standing resentment of 13 years of absolute chaos and incompetence. There is only so much nonsense I can put up with,and if I was a local and could go to matches I would probably not go again or renew a season ticket.

I can't see any more signings being announced tomorrow. Even though we had a game that went into injury time, something would be said by now. So it's Gallagher and Vale unless an out of contract player turns up.

Just back from work, and there is no news. Annoying as we have a good midfielder, probably a good singer on short term deals but no striker. Maybe we will get lucky with an out off contract player. I don't rate Zahora but he must be better than Gallagher. Or give Chris Martin a look to see if he has anything in the tank.

In short, we needed an effing striker.

We could be linked with any number of Forest players since they have signed 167 players since their promotion. 

Don't get your hopes up on any of these signings. Other teams around us will sign quality and we will sit on our hands.

I wonder how many of their players have clauses that reduce wages upon relegation? I imagine the squad has a lot of over paid mediocrity brought in by the various managers not getting a game.

The completely bipolar results and performances are hard to follow.

I think the Spanish rights have been on a club by club basis, so Barcelona and Real Madrid got tonnes of money, whilst Getafe got about €10. Not sure if that is still the case. Serie A should be back on Channel 4 though.

I hope we get on with any transfers in good time, and not sit on our hands until the last hours. I'd get rid of Hurst, and maybe Morton if we have to play him every game he is fit. The latter depending if we can get a tough midfielder with drive and leadership qualities.

You are right about this. Those empty stadiums during COVID felt so boring and meaningless.

As previously stated, Coventry have a deal until the end of the season. The club won't be taken over by Ashley as it has been taken over around the same time as Ashley bought the ground. The ground has a hotel and casino which is what Ashley will be interested in. And Highfield Road was sold for housing so the owner/chairman at the time could make a tidy sum selling the land, with rumours that Gordon Strachan got a piece of the action. The long term future was not really that important to them.
