This club is dead. It is finished. There is no chance of anything positive happening unless the Raos sell the club, and since that's never going to happen......

All the players with the exception of Sammy are bottle jobs.

1 game and it's already Eustace out. Wow. I've not looked, but I bet there have been a few of our best managers that have lost their first game. Perhaps we should have rotating managers like the hosts of Have I Got News For You, or hold a raffle for fans to have a go at the next game. 

How the hell can someone come into this club and then magically stop it being some sort of insane crap show within a week when the clowns are still in place? And how do you expect a head coach to rid us of those clowns? Buy the club? Launch a tactical nuke to Pune?

It'll be as little as possible. Batty, and other kids will become the squad players, we will sell a few players and bring in some 21 year olds from the reserves of Liverpool, Chelsea etc. on loan. Sammie will probably be sold too.

I was watching a stream of 49ers fans in LV at a party watching it, and I could feel the deflation that followed the tension. They must feel like we did after the Euro final a few years ago. Hopefully they won't start fighting.

Sounds like the 2003 rugby union world cup with how close and tense it is. The fans must be in knots. 

Edit: Gone into overtime. With how fat Americans can get I hope they have the defibrillators ready for the fans in the stadium. 

The Taylor Swift Hive Mind will be unhappy at the moment, Kansas are losing 10-3 as I type. She'll probably break up with him next week if he loses, and all the 14 year old girls, flamboyant gays and crazy cat ladies who listen to her songs will be sending death threats to that player.

What was the response to those with the banners from other fans?

Fancy passing out the back is great if you have defenders and a goalie like Liverpool or Man City do, but we don't have players half as good. Keep it basic and solid, and get the midfield and forwards to do the fancy stuff.

The only downside is that people will be looking away from the elephant in the room. Still happy so far though.

Good start. One bit of positive news after the drama.

I suppose I call them the Venkys as I probably see it as a sign of disrespect at a subconscious level to get their name wrong on purpose. It's like calling someone Tim when their name is Tom, and being dismissive when they correct you.

The BBC has us as a 4-4-2 with JRC as left winger, Hedges in the middle and Dolan in the right. Probably wrong, but we will see when the game starts. I expect loads of frustration and cursing during the match on this thread.

The delegation are probably going to Castle Greyskull to be told to reduce the budget by 50%, no more transfers with any fees and so on. They should be urging the Raos to eff off and sell the club but that would mean they'd be replaced by competent people.

I've noticed a few channels on my YouTube page have been covering the McGuire debacle and saying we're a club in crisis. They're not the largest channels, but a few have 6 figure subscriber figures, and are about the wider football scene and not just Rovers.

Thanks for the clarification on the procedures. We all know the league would not step in, and simply issue the relevant points deductions so no hope there. Look how they handled Bury, who got taken over by a man who led something like 20 companies into insolvency prior to the crisis at the club. He was 'fit and proper'. 

It's no coincidence that Steve Waggott is around when clubs are really in crisis mode. It was the same at Coventry City and Charlton. He's like that Bassini guy-one of the four footballing horse men.

What I wonder is what the Raos will do if they need to go to court again, or the heat is turned up in India over dodgy money and they did something illegal. We all hope that they'd do the decent thing and finally sell the club, but can't they just say stuff it, not bother trying to send money and let the club fold completely? Would we be in a more terminal situation than administration?

The club is losing money, they know we hate them and they have to go to court to transfer running costs. Maybe they'll cut their losses and let the club wither to nearly nothing out of spite. I'm not sure they will ever sell the club to another, in case the new owner rebuilds and makes us the next fairytale as it will really show them up.

I am just mentally preparing myself for a future match against my home town team (Barnet).
