  1. Why do you think he wants to play against Man U ? Tromsø did a correct decision to reject the bid now. He will be sold later, to another club or to a higher bid. This is a great day for us Tromsø supporters. The management has gotten our respect with this decision. it tells us that they have ambitions with this team and that they are willing to listen to us and all the others that have had some views about this issue. - TROMSØ - until I die Why he wants to play against Man Utd? Because at this time, he hasn't got a chance in hell to play FOR them, and playing Arsenal, United, Chelsea and other quality teams every week beats playing Viking, Lillestrøm and Odd Grenland. "Everyone" is supporting some major club, and I'm sure Gamst is levelheaded enough to see that he hasn't got the ability to play for them yet. He needs to take one step at the time, and that one step is to move for a Premiership club, or alternatively Rosenborg - who hasn't got the money to buy him. I'd hold on to those cheers a bit btw, don't expect us to give up that easily. As someone else mentioned here, I also think we tried a cheeky low bid, and that the "we have been snubbed" reports to the media is part of the game. No. I guess that Blackburn will come with a higher bid in a few weeks. Hopefully Tromsø will turn that one down as well.

  3. yes, I agree with you all. Money talks. We try our best to pressure the management so that MGP is with us this season. We'll see how it goes. Today we have an important match against Vålerenga ( from Oslo). MGP is of course playing. Hopefully he will score a couple with his left foot
  4. No, emerton. It will not hurt his carriere at all ( hope that was right), if he stays in Tromsø at little bit longer. Even our national coach Åge Hareide said that he should stay in Tromsø until after World Cup -06. He can be a class player in Norway. He dont need to play in England to be a class player. He wont be a millionaire if he stays in Norway ..... thats the only difference. Martin Andresen said that MGP would make Blackburn a better team - so he is already a class player. MGP himself is in no hurry leaving Tromsø.
  5. Blackburn doesnt have anybody that can replace MGP. If you had you wouldnt buy MGP
  6. No MGP is not attached by hysterical supporters, but the club is. We are Tromsø supporters and we put the club higher then a single player. We will die for the club, the players are just part time workers that will leave in a few years. We wish MGP the best as we have done so many times before with Rushfeldt, Lange, O.M Årst ... yeah even Tore Andre Flo became a top scorer in Tromsø before he went to Brann and to England. Enought is enough. We have to tell the management that "money in the bank - doesnt win the match". Instead of selling they should be bying two new midthfielders themselves. I know that both the coaches (Høgmo and Ulseth) are not very glad for this selling idea at all. Even the local newspapers are telling the club to not sell MGP now. I really dont think the new management is so stupid that they let MGP go now. If Blackburn want him so bad, they have to let him stay in Tromsø until the end of the season, else I really dont think you will get him without paying twice the money.
  7. You shouldn't put to much into what Pelt is saying, he is just another Tromsø supporter who is afraid that their biggest star is about to leave the club.. Noway are ANYONE going to pay £3m for MGP who has only played 1, yes ONE season in the norwegian top flight.! Pelt; Tromsø aint going to finish top 4 this season even if you get to keep MGP. Remember last season when you secured "Tippeliga" football with a goal 5min into injury time against Rosenborg..... Rosenborg, Brann, Molde and Bodø/Glimt will finish above you, maybe Lyn as well... Well, if Tromsø is gonna sell their best players every year, they will never win the league. Then it will always be a struggle to make sure thei have a place in the best league. Last time they sold their star they ended up in 1 division. This time they dont dare. Tromsø has proven that they can beat the top teams in Norway. On monday VIF is going down. This time the management has to listen to us, the supporters, the sponsors and the rest of the citizens of Tromsø. Tromsø don't need the money right now and the value of MGP will increase. If MGP is sold before the end of the season, we will have a new management. They will NEVER survive it.
