MGP is surprised that Souness have Quite at manager for Blackburn.
He could understand that souness wanted to go to a bigger club. Now I have to work hard and hope to do a good job. MGP haven’t thought so much on who should take over, but says that Strachan would be exciting.

As to the new bod...
What is Henning Berg doing?
ditto Stig Bjornebye?
Berg is a Football commentator for Norwegian TV2.
Bjørnebye is assistant coach for the Norwegian national team.

According to Henning Berg it is good for MGP that Souness is no longer the manager for Blackburn. He thinks that he will develop better as a player with another manager. Berg said also that it would be good for Rovers.
Any chance of a full translation, Maverick?
Souness Gone: Good for Gamstens development
It is good for MGP that Graeme Souness is no longer manager for Blackburn, says Henning Berg.
On Monday morning Souness went from his manager job at Blackburn and over to Newcastle. Souness recently brought MGP to Blackburn, but Berg is of the opinion that his departure will be good for the Norwegians development as a player.
-I know Blackburn, I know Graeme Souness, and I know the environment in Blackburn. This is only good for MGP.
-I know Souness as a trainer, and he has many weaknesses. Depending on whom the new manager will be, Berg thinks it only will be good for MGP.
Berg do not want to say what kind of weaknesses he thinks Souness has, but if you look at the results the last year, it is not good enough. With the players Blackburn have and the amount of money spent the last years, the results are to weak. So it’s only good for the club that Souness is gone. I’m really surprised that Newcastle would choose him as there new manager, Berg adds.
How high up the table could Blackburn get this year?
- It’s hard to say, Souness have sold many good players like Duff, Dunn, Cole and Yorke. Duff was hard to hold on to, but the rest of the players should have staid at the club. The table position would depend on who the new manager will be, Berg answers.

Do we have the money to sign a big name manager? We don't have that much money to buy new players. That's usually what all new managers demand.
Maybe we should go for a Championship (former 1 div) manager. Could be fun to have Dennis Wise a manager, but maybe not good enought.
-
What about trying to get Gerard Houllier as a new manager.
-
Coach Hareide tried to hold on to a 1-1 result against Italy, and therefore he didn't have the guts to send on Gamst - he kept the more defensive minded midfielders instead.
I was waiting for MGP to come on all second half. He should have been on by half time for Rudi imo.
Why is Rudi even in the squad? Why?! Why?!!!
Worst. Midfielder. Ever.
Rudi isn't the that bad, but he is not as good as he once was. I would rather see Norway play more attacking and had MGP in the starting XI. 2-1 is not that bad of a result. We have to win the next game.
-
Well, a bit wrong translated there Maverick.. loss of form isn't really what Hareide's fear is, it's more the rough week Gamst has had, plus having firepower on the bench. Wouldn't you say?
If I remember right he said he was tired. maybe not the same as loss of form in your opinion.

Yet more on Pedersen (L.E.T)
Quite an interesting read except for two things. Per Pedersen did not 'grace' but embarrass Ewood. And he was Danish not Norwegian.
Thanks for the link. A good read it was.
No another note, MGP is not in the starting XI for Norway agains Italy tonight. Seems like the Norwegian manager feels that all the things that have happend the last weeks has caused MGP to lose his form. MGP does not agree with him, but looks forward to come on as a sub.

Looks like Celtic-manager Martin O'Neill is the toon army's choice as new manager
I think that would be good choice aswell
http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcast...-name_page.html
Or maybe O'Neil should come to Rovers when the time is right.

ManU vs Everton
0-0 and Everton should have had at least 1 penalty..
Those cheating @#/?s!
Agree with you on that, and why don't man U players get yellow cards.

Fire Souy
And get Strachan...
Souy don't have a clue what tactics is - he can only blame other than him self....
I suggest that we also fire you from this messageboard because you obviously have no idea how to converse in the Queens English. Please try harder or get somebody with an IQ greater than the number of letters in your name to check your posts first.
Everybody has the right to state there opinion in this forum, regardless off spelling mistakes. IQ has nothing to do with your spelling. You could have an high IQ and still have dyslexia.

If Krislu says the worlds flat id believe him at the moment
I can confirm that Gamst Pedersen WILL get his debut against ManU, meaning he will play part in the game! I'm going to watch on tv, but for all of you that are going to the game, shout PEEEDERSEN PEEEDERSEN if we get a free-kick just outside the 18y box..
(Please listen to Krislu this time... )
Souness has told Gamst Pedersen on training today he will start against man u.
MGP said it in an radio intervju so it should be true. Let's hope Souness doesn't make a change at the last minute.
-
In an radio intervju tonight, MGP said that he had been told by Souness that he will play from the start on Saturday. He also added that he had done some freekick training today. Maybe we will see a great goal tomorrow on a freekick just outside that 16m box.
-
Didnt Krislu say he would wear the number 31 shirt!!!
He has been given shirt number 12.

Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet is reporting that MG Pedersen signed sometime before 22:30 yesterday. They are further reporting the transfer fee to be a total of 31 mill NOK, with 18 payed at the transfer and the remaining to be payed after 30, 60 and 90 official matches.
They do not report anything about the size of his wage, but they say a large part of it is based on goals, passes, matches etc..
Its all in the paper edition so i cant give you a link.

MGP has scored 10 goals and have 4 assists in 18 games. Not to bad for a midfield player. I think he could play up front with stead, but not on the right side in the midfield.
MGP is also great on freekicks right outside the box. Maybe not beckham class, but not far from.
-
I believe the total amount of money of the transfer deal is agreed. What they don't see eye to eye on is how to devide this amount (money on/later).
On Tromsø website today Tore Markussen say that they are going to London for talks because they think that there is a possibility for an agreement. They wouldnt take the trip if they didn't believe an agreement could be done.
I don't think MGP is going to London to take part in the meeting.
-
According to VG (norway's biggest newspaper) there will be further meetings on thursday. They report that if MGP signs that day he can play on saturday against Man U. No WP needed.

New News!!!!
Tromsø and Blackburn are having discusions tonight. According to Bjørn Tore Markussen there have been good progress over the last 24 hours. Tromsø are not holding out for more money, but they would rather have more money up front then having to wait intil MGP have played X games for Rovers.
-
and how did he play ?
Not so bad in the second half, but poor in the first. The Norwegian team wasn't any good, so he wasn't alone in being under standard that night. Don't think he is in his best form at the moment.
-
Tromsø have today comfirmed that Blackburn Rovers made a new bid for Morten Gamst Pedersen on friday night. The news doesn't say anything about how big the bid is. On wedsday there where 7 Premier League clubs in Oslo to watch him play for Norway against Belgium.
-
MPG was awarded as the best player in last night game against Odd.
http://www.dagbladet.no/pls/dbprod/fotball...=4805&ligaid=69
He had an assist on the first goal and was a constent threat for the Odd defence.

Norway's second biggest newspapir has it as there top story today.
http://www.dagbladet.no/sport/2004/06/13/400373.html
I guess it's bigger news than drunk norwegians in Oslo, because there is a lot more arrestes on a saturday night than 4 people.

There is a car park right outside the stadium. 5 min walk down to center of Newcastle.
