  1. This has to be the light at the end of the tunnel.. like anoxia at the point of death, we are seeing the death of the club, engineered by our gurning slobbering madman of a manager.

We look like one of those park teams that get through to the early rounds of the FA Cup - it is like playing football at this level is an alien concept. I don't think there is much hope for a positive outcome from the coming season, based on the evidence served up here-  other than, of course, the removal of the cancerous and malignant form of the gurnmeister, and his accomplices in crime.

    All 5000 of us.

You'll be lucky... I seem to remember a wet Saturday morning not so long ago where there was only ONE at the ground shouting "Mowbray Out! Waggon Out! Gurning Cheating Liars OUT!"

Maybe it would have sounded better inside Ewood Park rather than outside in a soggy car park..?

I still think we will get to 1000 pages on this thread before the gurning chump is potted / walks

  3. He looks a big lumbering gallumper compared to the other players, but then again that is what Harry Kane looks like for Engerland 😇.

Good to see Ben involved in such a big game. Always looking to receive the ball, full of running, but somewhat at odds with Chile's style of play.

How refreshing to see a Rovers player achieving on such a prominent stage.

El País, Spain's biggest paper, has an article on Ben Breton today.  Here is the original article:

    https://elpais.com/deportes/copa-america-futbol/2021-06-29/ben-brereton-el-necesitado-gol-ingles-de-chile.html

Here is the same article in English from a different source:

Ben Brereton: Chile's (Needed) English Goal

    https://pledgetimes.com/ben-brereton-chiles-needed-english-goal/

My favourite line from the English translation:

"He lost bellows, presence and his place in the youth teams of England."

Oh yeah, he lost bellows alright!

  5. It says something when there is more excitement and interest in our club on another continent than there is in the local area.

Mowbray forced to look awake for the first time in many months - what a pity he was just drawing a horseshit / 3 year old's concept of what happens on a football pitch. I mean, imagine if he'd been putting his many years of insights and IP out there for all to see on a flip chart on Chilean TV - you'd imagine there'd be a queue of experienced managers all glued to their screens in the hope of gleaning some magic from the gurning maestro...

Seriously though, I'm going to get myself a camera, some bright lights and thethethetheth my way into Ewood Park any day now, claiming to be from the Andean version of Look North. Might find some clues as to what the fook is (has been) going on down there for the past 4 years. Now, where's me Pancho Sanchez moustache gone..?

  6. This is an amazing thread - currently 647 pages, and much of it deeply vitriolic and negative towards Monsieur le Gurn and his nasty pupating sidekick.

Question is, will it get to 1000 pages of similarly disparaging muck-raking before anything happens? I can only speculate what a poor start to the new season might entail, but it is unlikely to be pleasant reading.

Simple for me. Mowbray Out!, Waggot Out!, Gurning cheating liars OUT!

Form from a previous season has no bearing whatsoever, I would be targetting 9 points from those first five fixtures.

F that Rigger mate - if I was a half decent Championship manager with a decent set of hairy balls, I'd be targeting 15 points from the first 5 fixtures. Anything else says we are already accepting capitulation and defeat.

Set us up to win. Work hard every game to win. Give 100% on the field of play and leave nothing in the dressing room. Encourage a winning mentality and focus on beating the opposition, whoever they are.

And then I woke up, and it was 2021 and we had a gurning has-been as manager, half the team had left or been let go and the happy clappers were out in force saying that avoiding the drop this year will be our Cup Final.

Then the hapless Maggot shuffles across like some  shady spiv, and offers me a slap in the chops (previously known as a season ticket)..

    Nail on head

He'd need 60 million just to break the 10th place ceiling and he's already conceeded he'd need 100 million to get anywhere near the top spots.

Aye, and how much has he had...

Not that it matters, because he is a gurning, lying, dishonourable wastrel who should no longer be anywhere near our club.

  9. Big Ben certainly putting himself in the spotlight again, and fair play to the lad. He isn't as cultured or polished as some of his peers on the pitch this evening, but then again he's been coached by a gurning dolloper for the past few years.

He is good enough for Chile's first team, folks. Let that sink in, as this is a nation that isn't short of footballing talent, and our man Diaz is more than holding his own out there.
