Dack is a third division player who has an opportunity to show if he can shine in the Championship. My bet is not. He is worth about £1.5million tops until proven.

You need to spend less time on your computer and xbox and more time in the real world.

1.5 million tops, are you for real???  I can only assume you are stuck in the Year 2000.

He is first choice keeper at Bristol City and recently signed a new deal. Why would he come to us to stay on the bench?

Probably because he feels he could oust Raya and is a Blackburn lad through and through. I wouldn't be unhappy to see him back in a Rovers shirt at all.

Hope you're joking mate  don't think any rovers fan would buy a shirt with Venkys as sponsor. I certainly wouldn't, plus we need all the cash we can get. Putting them on front of our shirts would take away any sponsorship cash from another firm. Surely Facebook or some other billion dollar company fancies sponsoring the Rovers ?

Yes I am joking. My chest has a tattoo of Mowbray and my arse of Kean. Hope it's not a betting company as my lad always wants a sponsor on his shirt. Perspex would be good for nostalgia.

Out of curiousity, how many people would accept next season’s shirt having the Venkys logo as main sponsor...?

If it means more money for TM to improve the quality of the squad then I would have it tattooed on my chest.

It's kind of funny. If Rich Sharpe said things he heard weren't positive it would be seen as gospel on here and panic stations. He says he hears positive things and  it's like "oh well, we can't believe the LT, he didn't speak directly to Mowbray etc etc"

Tony has madam wrapped around his little finger,  she is also a big fan of Dacky and loves a good Bennett fist pump, ye heard it here first :)

Some days she just fancies a bit of Smallwood!

Can’t believe people are actively suggesting that Bennett is adequate cover at right back!

Why would we choose to dilute our midfield capabilities when we should be able to bring in a proper defender during the window?!

Mowbray has proven to us that Caddis isn’t up to it (even in L1) and he doesn’t fancy Travis playing there.

We really have a problem of our own making - I’d prefer this was dealt with properly through recruitment.

Nyambe is first choice in a back four and if he goes with wing backs then it will be Bennett. Either can deputise for the other in a change in formation. If both were injured or suspended then Travis is more than capable. The budget we have doesn't need to be touched to find a right back.

Think the frustration with Evans comes from how we know he has the ability to be more influential. On the face of it can run all day, defend and is decent enough going forward, and yet you never come away from the game thinking he really left his mark on the game. You could well be right about the level of criticism though, even though I'm probably as guilty as anyone. I think there's something similar with Williams too.

In any case, two in midfield sounds about right, assuming our budget stretches. If not, then pace and numbers up front & out wide has to be the priority for me.

You're right about Williams too, and I am also guilty of it. I would imagine Evans and Williams are both model professionals who train as hard as anyone. I bet if Tony had a dream it would be that all his players trained and conducted themselves like those 2. As fans I think they just don't excite us enough. We are fickle people at times.

  8. I don't envy Southgate having to pick this squad. Cental defence worries me more than when I see Samuel in our starting 11. I think the only guaranteed centre back is going to be Kyle Walker and that isn't even his natural position.

Wilshire wouldn't be anywhere near a passport to Russia for me. Way too injury prone.

    Good luck Gareth

  9. I think the middle of the park needs at least 2 new faces. Smallwood is nailed on as a starter, and as much as Evans' form picked up towards the business end of the season he is always one mistake away from being the fans go to man to lay the blame. I am not a huge Evans fan but to be fair he gets more criticism than he deserves. I would look at Camps, McGeouch, Morrison and Nolan.

Needed 1st team games, Bristol was ideal move and he joined Swansea in the PL.

Think he'll be on loan to another PL club next season.

I think it would be more beneficial to him and Chelsea for another season in the Championship. He has gained nothing from a season at Swansea, apart from learning how relegation feels.

We dont need Abraham, Woodburn and Sinclair as we think Armstrong will be coming back.

So we would have Graham, Armstrong, Samuel, Nuttall plus a New target man. Dont need another striker.

Samuel and Nuttall aren't Championship material and Arma plays on the flanks for Mowbray. I think Abraham would be a great option to have along with Graham.

    Matt Smith from QPR

    Vellios from Notts Forest

    Omar Bogle

Chris Martin from Derby on loan at Reading.

Martin is A good very good shout.

I think a loan move for a young PL striker would be a good option too. Tammy Abraham?

    Ben Woodburn

    Jerome Sinclair?

Just reading the Scottish papers.  Apparently McGeough is out of contract so available for next to nothing.  McGinn is also available but still has 12 months left so Hibs looking for around £5,000,000.  Also rumoured Rangers are interested in him?

There are quite a few good free agents out there this summer. I am sure TM has identified some of them as possible targets especially with our financial constraints.
