  1. That's rubbish, He's not as quick as he used to be. But he'd walk into any team outside the top 4.

He's still a class act. I think it's harsh to say he's past it. He won't allow himself to be past it, he'll retire before that happens.

still a class act big al!!

  2. Lee is right. 4 is a holding midfielder, 8 is an attacking midfielder, 5 and 6 are centre halves and 7 is a right winger.

number 7 has always been used in most sides. i find now though that some of the world class strikers are using the number 7, i.e. Raul, Shevchenko and the old enemy Cantona to name a couple!!

  3. I assume as this isn't a full set of fixtures then i'm ok posting.  Anyway apparently this is the early sky fixtures.  Might be rubbish but it's an awful lot of trouble to go to if made up.

where did you get this info then? sky sports?

  4. Couldn't you just buy the shirt and get the number on later?  Or is that too simple? thumbs-up.gif

yeah i agree if you live locally, but say you don't, and you havn't got a decent sports shop by you that sells the gear, you have to buy by mail or the tinternet and you really want to buy it all at the same time.

i hope you understand what i am trying to say

  5. Yes, yes it is. He looks like an idiot. Just like Tugay looked pretty daft in that number 3 shirt.

Anyway, its too early in the summer to be talking about squad numbers (as if they're that imprtant in any case).

i wouldn't say that mate, you buy a new shirt, get the name and number of your favorite player on the back and a week later he's off packing his bags to another club or he's been given a new number for the new season and it makes you look a fool withstupid.gif

i beleve a few seasons ago at coventry, i cant remember his name but he was a popular player with the fans and he changed his number to number 10 and he offered to pay for everyone who bought his ###### with the previous number a replacement.

  6. we brought this disscussion up around this time last year because i remember going wild when dickov robbed jansens number 10 shirt!!

i thought they were having a laugh!!

maybe he will get it back this year biggrin.gif

with stead, johannson and short leaving, numbers are available.

i imagine with some new faces on their way, likley a striker, he will take the vacant number 9 shirt!!

anyone have any ideas when the the squad numbers are released?

i think lilly savage will probably want a different number but he wont take tugays number 8!!
