Preston’s biggest problem is most folk wander around with Liverpool or Man Utd shirts on, yet PNE fans have no issue with that.

Yet, people like us that have stuck by our club through a shite decade are dubbed ‘plastics’. Go figure!

Plastics yes. I have heard that in Preston aimed at Rovers.

    Really enjoying seeing these!

For me there are some really tough choices. I’d go for Wilcox over Duff, but I’d like to find a place for them both... and Sellars! Gordon Cowans was unreal... but can’t shift Tugay. We’ve had some excellent centre backs, which makes our current indifference towards them all the more frustrating. And while he’s not in the league of some of the strikers we’ve had over the years, I’d love to see Gestede getting his head on Wilcox/Ripley crosses... he’d score bucket loads!

                                      Friedel

    Berg          Moran            Nelsen      Le Saux

    Ripley        Batty               Tugay       Wilcox

                       Shearer          Garner

subs: Mimms, Hendry, Atkins, Cowans, Duff, Speedie, Gestede

Nice team that. Batts = le saux ?

  3. Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Hoghton/Higher Walton are pretty much split btw the two. Chorley also Bolton.

Knowing Brig and HW as i do its 50/50.

Tradition says Bamber Bridge is 50/50. I would say just more PNE but not much in it. Clayton Brook probably more Rovers.

Leyland also close. Probably more PNE.

Nice one pal, you’ve more Rovers history than some on here!

Long time ago pal but very very happy days. Remember a toffee shop just up LBR near where Bargain Booze is now on the corner. Gone now. He used to park behind a shop called motalas ? Further up on the straight.

Think I even had a Rovers bobble hat at one point  with my Blue parka with the orange lining and fake fur round the hood

  5. Late 70s early 80s i attended quite a few Rovers games with my Grandad and cousins. I was at Gigg Lane when Promotion was sealed. It was rammed behind the goal is all i can remember.

My team would be made up of players i remember from that era....

                            Bradshaw

    Rathbone  Fazakerly  Keeley  Brannigan

    Miller  Parkes   Stonehouse  Brotherstone

                 Bell            Garner

Happy days. Smax and Waggon Wheels from the kiosk on the Riverside Paddock and we used to sneak through some broken wooden slats into the seats above.

Come on then fella, let's pony up with a wager to make things interesting.

I already have my bet with a Wigan pal for who finishes higher of us two.

Would be fun to have something going at the other end of the table as I check the scores each week.

For a charity bet, a quick Google of sites that have easy donation options that are provable gives me:

Disability Sports Yorkshire (If I lose)

Blackburn Food Bank (If u lose)

What you willing to stump up for a couple of worthwhile causes?

    £20 or £30?

You willing to bet £30 you finish higher than us mate ?

Make it £30k if you want

  7. Huffed and puffed but disjointed. Created a couple of very good chances to score but lacked composure. Out of our hands now. We have to hope that Norwich or Sheffield United have a little wobble as we have been having.

Bottom line is if you struggle to beat Bolton at home and lose to QPR who have lost 7or8 on the spin then what fuckin hope have you got. Well March will be the month that decides it.

Leeds,Leeds are falling apart again :(

Love my Yorkshire tea....plus you can buy it in mega bags at Costco.

Used to drink Earl Grey alot but it smells perfumed and odd now.

Assam is excellent if you want a stronger cup.

Love visiting the US but oh dear me, the Americans just don't understand tea and have to drink coffee when I'm there.

Costco for Yorkshire Tea. Great shout.

Ringtons loose leaf as i said on Sunday.

I think my mam and dad used to buy Ringtones tea off a van that used to call round a few years back and yes it was good from what I remember although I wasn't the one brewing it ?

Pains me to say it but yep i'd chose Yorkshire tea bags over most others if pushed, carrot cake for me though !

Yes you're correct on that. The Ringtons van used to do the rounds. Think it still does in some areas. Sure I have seen it in Leeds recently.

Not a fan of carrot cake. Mrs CP and Miss CP are big fans but I find it a bit sickly. Tea and cake eh. Nothing much better in life at 50  how times have changed.
